The Downs View Suite is on the second floor of the Duchess' Stand. It has a unique curved wall and balcony which provides dramatic views across the Downs and the Racecourse. It is an ideal space for a Conference, Presentation, Workshop, Team Building, Training or Networking Event. The Downs View Suite is the perfect space for your Corporate Event. The price listed is inclusive of VAT. Please see the House Rules for details on the Delegate Package.



Frequently asked questions

All meeting spaces require a minimum of 30 people to book. This applies to all conference and meeting room bookings at the venue.

Banqueting bookings require a minimum of 50 people. This is separate from the meeting space minimum and applies specifically to dining events.

Day Delegate Rate packages start from £53 per person plus VAT. The Classic DDR Package at £53+VAT includes main suite hire, arrival tea/coffee with pastries and fruit, mid-morning refreshments, finger buffet lunch, afternoon tea/coffee, water, projector/screen, flipchart, WiFi, parking, and dedicated event manager.

The venue does not normally allow external catering to be brought on site. However, they work with preferred contracted caterers who can provide catering services, and you must use one of these approved partners rather than sourcing completely independent catering.

No, the venue does not sell on a pure dry hire basis. All bookings must include catering services, either through their in-house catering or approved contracted catering partners.

The venue cannot accommodate events requiring 700 guests with 500 seated, as their kitchen facilities in the largest halls cannot service these numbers in seated capacity. The Diomed suite can hold up to 500 people in theatre style layout.

Available spaces include the Diomed suite (up to 500 people theatre style), Oaks Hall (suitable for smaller groups), Downs View suite (60 people cabaret), Gallops (48 people cabaret), and Double box (24 people cabaret). The Blue Ribband suite can accommodate up to 150 people and includes a private terrace overlooking the racecourse.

Room hire fees vary by space: Mezzanine area £1,000 ex VAT, Downs View suite £1,800 (often discounted to £1,000), Gallops £1,400 (often discounted to £800), Double box £600 (often discounted to £300), and breakout spaces at £2,000 ex VAT.

Basic AV includes projector, screen, and built-in PA system at no extra charge. Additional equipment costs: lectern and microphone £90 ex VAT, standalone microphone £70 ex VAT, medium stage £350 ex VAT.

The National Sales Manager works Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. This may affect response times and availability for site visits or meetings on Wednesdays.
