Frequently asked questions

All meeting spaces at Epsom Downs Racecourse require a minimum of 30 people for bookings. This applies to both conference bookings and banqueting events.

The Day Delegate Rate starts from £53 per person and includes main suite hire for the day, arrival tea and coffee with mini Danish pastries and fresh fruit, mid-morning tea and coffee with cookies, finger buffet lunch, mid-afternoon tea and coffee, jugs of iced water, projector and screen, flipchart and pens, complimentary Wi-Fi, complimentary car parking, and a dedicated event manager.

Epsom Downs does not operate on a pure dry hire basis and external catering is not normally allowed on site. However, they work with preferred contracted caterers who can provide catering services, and you must use one of these approved partners to use the venue.

The Jockey Club Room can accommodate up to 30 people in various layouts. For larger events, the Diomed suite can hold up to 500 people in theatre style or 224 people in cabaret style, while the Blue Ribband suite can accommodate up to 150 people.

The standard package includes a projector and screen, built-in PA system (complimentary), flipchart and pens, and complimentary Wi-Fi. Additional AV equipment available for hire includes lectern and microphone (£90 excluding VAT), standalone microphone (£70 excluding VAT), and medium stage (£350 excluding VAT).

Yes, there are additional room hire fees depending on the space used. For example, the mezzanine area has a room hire fee of £1,000 excluding VAT, and breakout rooms have varying hire costs ranging from £300-£1,800 excluding VAT depending on size and capacity.

For events requiring exhibition space, Epsom Downs can accommodate business stalls and pop-up displays. However, for very large events (500+ seated guests with exhibition requirements), kitchen facilities may not be able to service these capacity levels, and alternative arrangements would need to be discussed.

Beyond the standard finger buffet included in the Day Delegate Rate, you can upgrade to a Premier DDR Package at £64 plus VAT which includes a hot buffet menu or lunch selector options. Evening dining packages are also available starting from £67 per person including VAT.

Yes, some suites include access to private terraces overlooking the racecourse, such as the Blue Ribband suite which has a private terrace. The Diomed/Lammtarra suite also provides access to a private terrace overlooking the racecourse for events.
