The floor to ceiling windows offer guests unbeatable views over the River Thames and some of London's most iconic landmarks such as the Tate Modern, Shakespeare's Globe and The Shard. The room also features a separate entrance - ideal for exclusive events in London and also holds a late license for celebrations, receptions and dinners set to last all evening.




Frequently asked questions

The venue has a minimum requirement of 100 guests for dining events. Pricing starts from £155 per person excluding VAT, which includes room hire, catering, and basic services. For events below 100 guests, the venue cannot accommodate the booking as it falls below their minimum numbers policy.

The Christmas Reception Package is available at £155 per person excluding VAT, which includes Upper River Room hire from 6:30pm to midnight, arrival drinks reception, 6-item bowl food, unlimited beer/wine/soft drinks package, DJ, dedicated event manager, and cloakroom. A seated dinner option is also available at £165 plus VAT per person for Christmas parties from 18:30-00:00.

Standard evening events run from 6:30pm to midnight with the option to extend into the early hours. The venue holds a late license for celebrations, receptions and dinners. Day events typically run from 08:00-17:30, with evening extensions available for additional charges.

The Upper River Room is the primary dining space, ideal for evening receptions, gala dinners and award ceremonies with floor-to-ceiling windows offering Thames views. The venue also offers the Lower River Room and Newgate Suite for larger events, with the Auditorium available for events requiring 300+ guests in theatre-style seating.

Catering options include bowl food packages, standing hot fork buffets, seated dinners, and canapes. The Christmas package includes 6-item bowl food, while other events can choose from various options including 4 canapes at £13 per person or 3 bowls at £16 per person, all excluding VAT.

The venue offers unlimited beer, wine and soft drinks packages, with options to add spirits. A 2-hour unlimited house beer, wine and soft drinks package costs £25 per person, while a 3-hour package costs £30 per person, both excluding VAT. Cash bar options are also available with minimum spend requirements.

Basic AV equipment includes LCD projector or screen, flipchart, lectern and microphone. For more complex events, additional AV packages are available through their partner supplier Rockit, including staging options such as small stages (8ft x 4ft) for £175 excluding VAT, with full technical support available.

All events include a dedicated event manager, stewards, and cloakroom staff. Security and additional staffing costs are estimated separately. The venue provides event management throughout, from initial planning to execution, with pre-event menu tastings available for dining events.

The venue allows external entertainment such as DJs (included in some packages) and can accommodate performers and activities. External catering suppliers may be subject to approval processes, though the venue primarily uses in-house catering services. Specific decoration and supplier policies would need to be confirmed during the booking process.

For events with short lead times, the venue requires booking confirmation and 100% payment by the end of the week. Enquiries are held on a joint first option basis while clients compare venues, but will be automatically released if no response is received by the specified deadline, typically within a few days of the initial proposal.
