The Newgate is a flexible space perfect for any conference, meeting or AGM. It can be used as one room or 4 separate breakout spaces. The rooms benefit from natural daylight and air conditioning.

Frequently asked questions

The venue has a minimum requirement of 100 guests for events. If your group is below this number, they cannot accommodate the booking as stated in their correspondence with potential clients.

Day Delegate Rate packages start from £98 per person excluding VAT (£117.60 including VAT). This includes room hire, catering throughout the day, basic AV equipment, and staffing for events running from 08:00-17:30.

The DDR package includes arrival refreshments, mid-morning refreshments, two-course hot fork buffet lunch, afternoon refreshments, still and sparkling filtered water throughout the day, basic AV equipment (LCD projector, screen, flipchart, lectern, microphone), basic Wi-Fi up to 2Mbps per user, and event staffing. Room hire and use of foyer/mezzanine shared spaces are also included.

The Newgate Suite costs £4,500 excluding VAT for day hire (08:00-17:30). For events requiring the space until midnight, pricing increases to £6,500 excluding VAT, with room hire from 6:30pm-midnight costing £9,000 excluding VAT.

The Newgate Suite can accommodate up to 230 people as one large space or can be divided into 4 separate breakout rooms. The minimum number requirement is 120 guests for DDR packages in this space.

Enquiries are automatically released from their system if they don't receive a response by end of day Monday after initial contact. For short lead-time events, they may require decisions and 100% payment by the end of the week.

Beyond base room hire, expect additional costs for staffing (estimated around £1,798 excluding VAT), early access from 06:00 (£2,000 excluding VAT), AV packages (£1,100-£1,560 excluding VAT), and any catering beyond the standard DDR package. Security, extended hours, and specialized equipment will incur extra charges.

The venue can hold dates on a 'joint first option basis' while clients compare other venues. However, for events with short lead times, they require quick decisions and may request 100% payment upfront to secure the booking.

Additional catering options include 4 canapés at £13 per person, bowl food at £16 per person for 3 items, bakery baskets at £2.75 per person, and drinks packages starting at £25 per person for 2 hours of unlimited house beer, wine, and soft drinks. Traditional afternoon tea and specialized menus are also available.

Standard day hire runs from 08:00-17:30, with evening events typically from 18:30-midnight. Early access from 06:00 is available for £2,000 excluding VAT, and extended hours beyond midnight incur additional charges.
