Frequently asked questions

The venue hire fee is £22,500 + VAT for exclusive use from 10am-1am. This includes in-house sound & lighting package, 2x sound technicians, 1x lighting technician, event manager, venue manager, technical manager, pre/post cleaning, live event cleaner, 2x dressing rooms, green room with shower and toilet, medic during live event hours, Wi-Fi, and £1,000 bar staff allowance.

There is a mandatory £4,500 + VAT bar minimum spend requirement. Event security (1 Head of Security + Supervisors) is also required but costs are not specified in the materials. Cloakroom attendants are listed as an exclusion, meaning additional cost applies.

KOKO Theatre can accommodate up to 1,500 standing (gig format), up to 1,000 standing for corporate events, and 200-250 theatre-style seated (with up to 250 on ground floor plus another 100 across other floors). The venue operates on a semi-dry hire basis with beverages provided by KOKO from 5 bars.

KOKO Theatre is available for private hire Sunday through Thursday only. Fridays and Saturdays are not available for private hire due to live music and electronic programming commitments.

Early access from 8am-10am costs £2,000 + VAT. Extended license until 3am (with derig by 10am following day) costs £2,000 + VAT. Standard access is 10am-1am included in the base hire fee.

Exclusive use includes the main theatre, private balconies, roof terrace, Luno Lounge, dressing rooms, BOH (back of house) space, and Secret Club. Some quotes also mention access to boxes and green rooms with private shower facilities.

Optional LED screen + VJ service costs £3,200 + VAT. Stage barrier removal costs £400 + VAT if required. Stage stairs are available as an optional extra. Show caller/producer services are also available as optional additions.

The venue operates on a semi-dry hire basis - beverages must be provided by KOKO from their 5 bars with a £4,500 + VAT minimum spend. Food must be provided by KOKO's approved suppliers only. You cannot bring your own drinks or use external caterers.

KOKO uses a pencil system for holding dates - they offer 1st pencil and 2nd pencil options. Dates can be released if not confirmed. The venue requires detailed event information including purpose, timings, catering requirements, production needs, filming/photography plans, and branding requirements before providing formal proposals.

The venue can accommodate various event formats including gig-style standing events, corporate events, theatre-style seating, and 'in the round' setups. Filming and photography are permitted but require advance notification. The venue has experience with brand activations, private screenings, and high-profile events.
