What is the maximum capacity for the Cubic Theatre and Foyer?
The Cubic Theatre has tiered seating for 110 guests (though some communications mention 80 guests). The adjoining Cubic Foyer can accommodate up to 80 guests for standing receptions. Due to recent refurbishment, if you have more than 80 guests, split breaks are advised to ensure guest comfort.
What AV equipment is included with the venue hire?
All theatre AV is included: True 4k DCI cinema projection, large projection screen, Dolby Digital surround sound, lectern with desktop microphone, built-in stage, and basic microphone package (1 lectern microphone, 1 handheld microphone, 1 lapel microphone). Additional microphones are available at £35 + VAT per microphone.
What technical support is provided during events?
One technician is available for the first hour of your hire. For events requiring more technical AV support, a dedicated Museum Technical Assistant can be hired for the full duration of your event, with pricing depending on your specific requirements.
Are there catering restrictions and who provides food service?
Benugo is the exclusive in-house caterer for the Cubic Theatre and Foyer. External catering is not permitted, and all food and beverage must be provided through Benugo who will assist with menus and catering quotes.
What additional equipment and amenities are included?
The hire includes 4 poseur tables ideal for guest comfort during refreshment breaks, a large screen in the Cubic Foyer for branding or promotional videos, and complimentary entry to the Museum for all delegates on the day of your event.
How long can provisional bookings be held?
The venue can provisionally hold space for 2 weeks while you make your final decision. This allows time to confirm details and finalize arrangements before committing to the booking.
What are the standard operating hours and setup arrangements?
The standard hire period is 09:00-17:00, with extra hours available at £550 + VAT per hour. The venue operates during museum opening hours, with capacity available at 40 guests in cabaret round table setup during these times.
