What are the room hire costs for the main event spaces?
Fine Rooms 1 & 2 combined cost £2,300 + VAT for 09:00-17:00 hire. The Hutchison Room costs £750 + VAT per day (accommodates up to 20 boardroom style). The Gallery costs £580 + VAT per day. Library & Studio combination costs £994 + VAT for a 4-hour hire (09:00-13:00).
What are the capacity limits for different room configurations?
Fine Rooms 1 & 2 combined accommodate up to 170 guests reception style, 80 banquet style, or 100 theatre style. The Hutchison Room holds maximum 20 guests boardroom style. The Library accommodates up to 26 guests on one large table, 34 guests cabaret style, or 50 guests theatre style.
What does the Day Delegate Rate (DDR) package include and what does it cost?
The DDR package costs £75 + VAT per person with a minimum of 25 guests (some quotes show 40 guest minimum). It includes full-day room hire, pastries and fruit on arrival, 3 servings of tea/coffee/biscuits, bottled water, hot or cold fork buffet lunch, dedicated waiting staff, AC, and WiFi.
Are waiting staff included in room hire, and what are catering minimums?
Waiting staff are included in DDR packages but not in basic room hire quotes. Hot or cold fork buffet has a minimum of 15 guests, while sandwich lunch has a minimum of 10 guests. All drinks are charged on consumption with no minimum spend mentioned.
What AV equipment is available and what are the costs?
Conference projector costs £250 + VAT, PA system £300 + VAT, plasma TV £150 + VAT, and microphones £85 + VAT each. AV technician costs £85 + VAT per hour (4-hour minimum) and is recommended for more than 3 microphones or when using lapel mics.
Is the venue wheelchair accessible?
Yes, the building is fully accessible with a lift to access bathrooms on lower levels. For building entry/exit, they place a ramp outside for wheelchair users, which is set up before arrival and when guests leave. The Hutchison Room is specifically confirmed as wheelchair accessible.
What are the costs for external catering and dry hire?
Dry hire costs £600 + VAT (includes ground floor kitchen use) plus the room hire fee. Additional equipment rental: chairs £3.50 + VAT each, tables £12 + VAT each. Corkage charges apply: £12 + VAT per wine bottle, £15 + VAT per champagne bottle, £1 + VAT per beer bottle.
Can events run beyond standard hours and what are the additional costs?
Late license can be acquired until midnight for an additional £500 + VAT per hour from 10pm. Evening room hire for Fine Rooms 1 & 2 costs £2,138 + VAT (including waiting staff). Standard daytime hours appear to be 09:00-17:00.
What are the restrictions on guest numbers for different event types?
The venue cannot accommodate weddings for 240+ guests or events requiring more than 170 reception-style capacity. Fashion shows have been accommodated with L-shaped catwalks between Fine Rooms 1 & 2. Some events are declined if deemed too large for the venue's capacity.
Are there any mandatory additional services or technician requirements?
For gallery wall installations, you must use their technician for hanging at £600 + VAT (includes install and deinstall). AV technician is mandatory for complex setups and costs £85 + VAT per hour with 4-hour minimum. All prices quoted are + VAT.
