Frequently asked questions

Dry hire packages start from £10,000.00 inclusive of VAT, with rates varying by space and date. For example, a reduced rate of £14,000.00 inclusive of VAT was offered for a boxing event. Room hire is typically VAT exempt, while additional services are subject to VAT where applicable.

The standard banquet package is £126.00 per person including VAT, which includes glass of sparkling wine, three course dinner, half bottle of house wine, coffee and petit fours, mineral water, and room hire from 18:00-01:00. Christmas packages are available at £112.00 per person (reduced from £190.00) with additional festive elements like DJ, dance floor, and Christmas decorations.

Security is compulsory for all events at £29.40 per hour inclusive of VAT. Requirements are: 1-200 guests need 2 guards, 201-400 guests need 4 guards, 401-600 guests need 6 guards. There's a minimum 4-hour booking and guards must be paid no later than 1 month prior to the event.

For ticketed events, all tickets must be pre-purchased - the venue does not allow tickets to be sold on the night. This policy applies to all ticketed events regardless of size or type.

Day Delegate Rates range from £55.00 to £87.00 per person inclusive of VAT (reduced from up to £189.00). Packages include room hire 09:00-17:00, air-conditioning, Wi-Fi, water, pastries and smoothies on arrival, energising lunch, unlimited tea and coffee, flipchart, and 3000 lumen LCD projector with 8'x6' screen.

The venue releases provisional space holdings if no updates are received within a reasonable timeframe. Clients are typically given specific deadlines (such as 1pm on a particular date) to confirm or the booking will be automatically released. Regular follow-ups occur before release.

The Grand Hall accommodates up to 400 guests cabaret style or 650 theatre style. The Cornwall Suite holds up to 250 for banquet dinner or 200 for dinner dance. Individual meeting rooms vary from 12 guests (boardroom style) to 105 guests (theatre style). Capacity for boxing events is reduced due to ring setup requirements.

Additional costs include: LCD projector and screen from £195.00 inclusive of VAT, unlimited tea/coffee/refreshments at £11.50 per person, energising lunch at £20.95 per person, sandwich lunch at £12.95 per person, and various breakfast items from £4.00-£4.95 per person. AV equipment requires separate quotation from suppliers.

Post-meeting drinks require a minimum spend of £3,000.00-£5,000.00 inclusive of VAT depending on the space, with at least 50% spent on food. If the guaranteed minimum spend is not reached, the remaining balance is charged as room hire.
