The Edinburgh is one of our three grand spaces at the Grand Connaught Rooms. Full of natural daylight, glittering chandeliers and high ceilings it offers a perfect opulent, clean space perfect for corporate training events in capacities up to 300 theatre style and 200 cabaret. With the adjacent Drawing Room, being the perfect breakout space for a private relaxing coffee or a networking event. This flexible room is perfect for your business needs.



Frequently asked questions

Dry hire packages start from £10,000.00 inclusive of VAT. The venue has offered reduced rates in specific cases, such as £14,000.00 inclusive of VAT for boxing events. Room hire is VAT exempt and includes meeting room hire, pads and pencils, comprehensive Wi-Fi access, and chilled conference mineral water inside the room.

Day Delegate Rates range from £55.00 to £87.00 per person inclusive of VAT (reduced from standard rates of £129.00-£189.00). The package includes room hire 09:00-17:00, air-conditioned room with daylight, Wi-Fi, water, pastries and smoothies on arrival, yogurt and granola pots, energizing lunch, unlimited tea and coffee, flipchart, and 3000 lumen LCD projector with 8'x6' screen.

Security is compulsory for all events at £29.40 per hour inclusive of VAT. Requirements are based on guest numbers: 1-200 guests require 2 guards, 201-400 guests require 4 guards, 401-600 guests require 6 guards. There's a minimum 4-hour booking and minimum 2 security guards, which must be paid no later than 1 month prior to the event.

Banquet packages range from £100.00-£160.00 per person inclusive of VAT for standard events, with Christmas packages at £112.00 per person (reduced from £190.00). Packages include glass of sparkling wine, three-course dinner, half bottle of house wine, coffee and petit fours, mineral water, and room hire from 18:00-01:00. Christmas packages also include DJ, dance floor, novelties, and traditional decorations.

For ticketed events, all tickets must be pre-purchased and the venue does not allow tickets to be sold on the night. This is a strict policy that applies to all ticketed events regardless of size or type.

The venue offers multiple spaces including the Grand Hall (400 cabaret/650 theatre), Cornwall Suite (250 banquet/200 dinner dance), Edinburgh Suite (200 cabaret/250 theatre), various meeting rooms like Dorset Suite (60 classroom), Cambridge Suite (24 boardroom), and multiple boardrooms accommodating 12-13 delegates. Room assignments are subject to change based on availability.

The venue places bookings on 'joint 1st option' which means the space is provisionally held but not exclusively reserved. Booking holdings are released if no updates are received within a reasonable timeframe, and the venue requires confirmation decisions by specific deadlines (such as 1pm on a Thursday for a Friday event).

Unlimited drinks packages range from £25.00 (1 hour) to £70.00 (3 hours) per person.
