Frequently asked questions

Weekend events have a minimum spend of £4,000 per day. This applies to all Saturday and Sunday bookings regardless of guest numbers or event type.

The standard Day Delegate Rate is £80 plus VAT per person, or £65 plus VAT per person on Mondays and Fridays, with a minimum of 30 guests. This includes room hire 8am-5pm, arrival tea/coffee with pastries, mid-morning refreshments, deli sandwich lunch, afternoon tea/coffee, screen and projector, Wi-Fi, flipchart, cloakroom, and directional signage.

The venue can accommodate a maximum of 60 people for seated meals. If your event requires more than 60 seated guests, you would need to consider alternative arrangements or reduce numbers.

Standard access times are 8am-5pm for day events. Evening events can run until 11pm as standard, with a late license available until midnight for an additional £500 plus VAT.

For dancing with a DJ, you can hire the Wolfson Room and Exhibition Area for an extra £700 plus VAT. DJ services start from £850 plus VAT if booked through the venue, or you can have background music through the PA system or arrange a silent disco in the Reception Room.

Exclusive First Floor hire includes the Council Chamber, Reception Room, Ann Rylands Room, and the Rooftop Terrace. This setup is ideal for receptions up to 150 people and provides separate spaces for drinks reception, networking, private dining, and outdoor terrace access.

The Reception only wedding package is £171 including VAT per person based on 30 guests. This includes first floor venue hire (5pm-11pm), arrival nibbles and Prosecco, 5 canapés, 3 bowl foods, two-hour unlimited house wine/beer/soft drinks, bar setup, uplighters, PA system, microphones, iPad with Spotify, reception team, security, and unmanned cloakroom.

After initial enquiry, the venue provides a venue brochure, sample event menu, and bespoke proposal. You can request a provision hold on your preferred date and book a site visit to view the spaces before confirming your booking.

December dates are available on a first come first served basis due to high demand. The venue offers Christmas-specific packages and brochures, and can accommodate events between 10 to 120 guests with various festive catering options.

Catering upgrades include: healthy working lunch (option 2) for £5.50 plus VAT per person, bowl food (5 bowls per person) for £11.50 plus VAT per person, and fork buffet lunch for £15.00 plus VAT per person. All upgrades have minimum number requirements.
