The First Floor Hall at King's House is a large L shaped room - fully accessible by a lift and stairs. The room is ideal for larger seminars, presentations, workshops and training sessions. The room hire and day delegate rates included all standard equipment. A ceiling mounted LCD projector, portable PA system and telephone connection point can be hire for an additional fee.



Frequently asked questions

King's House Conference Centre only accepts business or educational conferences and exams. They do not accept other types of events such as product launches, retail pop-ups, or non-business related gatherings.

The Auditorium accommodates 400 theatre, 350 banquet, or 280 cabaret style. The First Floor Hall holds 220 theatre, 180 banquet, 112 cabaret, or 52 classroom style. Both spaces are fully accessible via lift and stairs.

Standard operating hours are Monday-Friday 8am-5pm. Events extending beyond 17:30 incur additional charges of £185 +VAT per hour in the First Floor Hall. Saturday bookings are occasionally available but include an out-of-office surcharge of £26 +VAT per hour.

Standard equipment includes flip charts, paper, and markers. Additional AV costs include: laser projector and screen (£225 for Auditorium), PA system and technician (£370 for Auditorium), 65" LED repeater screens (£185 +VAT per pair), and video recording with unedited footage (£360 +VAT for Auditorium, £320-325 +VAT for smaller rooms).

All-day tea, coffee, and biscuits package costs £8 +VAT per head. Day Delegate Rate (DDR) is £38-39 +VAT per delegate with minimum requirements. Hot buffet lunch costs approximately £6,750 for 300 people, and classic breakfast around £2,250 for 300 people.

Rooms are placed on hold when proposals are sent, with regular follow-up emails requesting updates. If no response is received, the venue sets deadlines (typically giving several days notice) before releasing the booking to other clients. Clients can be placed on second option if another booking is already holding the date.

Show rounds are available Monday-Friday 09:30-15:30 to help visualize the spaces. Terms and conditions are available on their website, and no contracts can be concluded via email - formal booking confirmation is required.

Saturday bookings are occasionally available but the venue is not set up for frequent weekend events. Sunday hire is not available. Weekend bookings that are accepted include additional out-of-office surcharges.
