Taking over the entirety of Cafe KOKO, our full hire option is perfect for larger parties, corporate events, afterparties or live music.

With the ability to arrange the space as required, it’s fully adaptable for your needs with the option to facilitate presentations, kitchen takeovers and more.

We can accomodate up to 200 people for a standing reception, 122 for restaurant style dining and 80 theatre style seated for conferences and panel talks.




Frequently asked questions

The venue hire fee is £22,500 + VAT for exclusive use from 10am-1am Sunday through Thursday. There's a mandatory bar minimum spend of £4,500 + VAT that must be met through beverage purchases from KOKO's bars. Optional early access (8am-10am) costs £2,000 + VAT, and late access until 3am costs £2,000 + VAT.

KOKO Theatre accommodates up to 1,500 standing in gig format, up to 1,000 standing for corporate events, and 200-250 theatre-style seated (with some sources mentioning up to 250 on ground floor plus 100 across other floors). The venue is only available for private hire Sunday through Thursday - no Friday or Saturday bookings due to live music programming.

The hire fee includes 2 sound technicians, 1 lighting technician, 1 event manager, 1 venue manager, 1 technical manager, load-in and load-out security, pre and post cleaning, 1 live event cleaner, 1 medic during live event hours, and bar staff (with £1,000 allowance). You also get exclusive use of the theatre, balconies, roof terrace, Luno Lounge, dressing rooms, and backstage Wi-Fi.

Event security (1 Head of Security + Supervisors) is mandatory but pricing varies by event. Optional extras include £3,200 + VAT for LED screen and VJ, cloakroom attendants, event check-in hosts, £400 + VAT for stage barrier removal, stage stairs, and show caller/producer services. All additional staff costs exclude VAT.

KOKO operates on a semi-dry hire basis - all beverages must be provided by KOKO from their 5 bars with the £4,500 + VAT minimum spend requirement. Food must be provided by KOKO's approved suppliers only. You cannot bring your own drinks or use external caterers.

The hire includes exclusive use of the main theatre, private balconies, roof terrace, Luno Lounge, 2 dressing rooms with shared green room and shower facilities, 1 separate green room with private shower and toilet, backstage Wi-Fi, and in-house sound and lighting package. The venue spans 50,000 square feet total.

No, KOKO Theatre is not available for private hire on Fridays and Saturdays due to their live music and electronic programming schedule. Private events are only available Sunday through Thursday, with access typically from 10am until 1am (extendable to 3am for additional cost).

KOKO uses a pencil system with first and second holds on dates. They can create bespoke packages based on your budget and will hold dates while you decide. The venue requires detailed event information including purpose, timings, catering requirements, production needs, filming/photography plans, branding requirements, and media involvement before finalizing bookings.
