Frequently asked questions

Queen's Room hire costs £1,250 for 09:00-17:00 daytime use. Weekend wedding hire (Saturday/Sunday) is £12,000 + VAT (£14,400 including VAT). Evening extensions beyond 17:00 cost £670 per hour plus VAT, and extensions beyond 23:00 cost £1,000-£1,200 per hour plus VAT.

Maximum seated dining capacity is 260 guests using long tables in the main hall. Queen's Room accommodates up to 22 people in boardroom dinner style. For events over 260 guests, only standing receptions with canapés or bowl food are possible, with a maximum of 300 guests for standing events.

Catering starts at £98 + VAT per person (minimum 20 guests) including 30-minute drinks reception, three-course lunch, half bottle of house wine, and staffing. Christmas packages are £150-£188 + VAT per person. Evening packages range from £138-£225 + VAT per person depending on inclusions.

External caterers are not permitted - the venue only accepts in-house catering. However, for Asian weddings, specific approved Asian caterers are permitted but require a kitchen buy-out fee of £5,000 + VAT (£6,000 including VAT).

Hall Lunches take place Tuesday through Friday, which restricts availability on these days. The venue cannot accommodate full-day events (09:00-17:00) during weekdays due to these regular activities and other large events that require all rooms.

Staff taxi fees of £250-£300 + VAT apply for events ending after 22:30. Event security is required at £42 + VAT per hour per staff member (one per 100 guests). Cloakroom staff cost £25 + VAT per hour per staff member with a 4-hour minimum if manned service is required.

Queen's Room and other spaces do not have built-in AV equipment. All audio-visual equipment must be hired from accredited suppliers on their approved list. Basic PA systems with handheld microphones are available for speeches, but screens, projectors, and advanced AV must be arranged separately.

Early access for organizers is typically provided from 16:00 at no additional charge. Early guest arrival before 18:00 costs £1,000-£1,200 + VAT per hour. Standard event times are 09:00-17:00 for daytime events and 18:00-23:00 for evening events.

The venue offers 20% off room hire for bookings taking place between August 1st and September 14th. This discount applies to corporate events, conferences, networking events, and similar bookings during this specific period.

Clothed poseur tables cost £25 + VAT each. Optional items include party novelties, upgraded wine packages, and additional canapés. Storage for overnight courier pickup can be arranged, and charity rates may be available upon request.
