Frequently asked questions

Queen's Room hire costs £1,250 for 09:00-17:00 weekday use. Weekend wedding venue hire is £12,000 + VAT (£14,400 including VAT) for Saturday or Sunday. Evening extensions beyond 17:00 cost £670 per hour plus VAT, and extensions beyond 23:00 cost £1,000-£1,200 per hour plus VAT.

In-house catering starts at £98 + VAT per person with a minimum of 20 guests for boardroom dining. Christmas packages are £150-£188 + VAT per person, and evening packages range from £138-£181.20 + VAT per person. All catering must be provided in-house as external caterers are not permitted.

The venue accommodates up to 260 guests for seated dining using long tables, or 300 guests for standing receptions with canapés or bowl food. Queen's Room seats up to 22 people in boardroom style, and Prince's Room accommodates up to 30 guests for private dining or seminars.

The venue is unavailable Tuesday-Friday due to Hall Lunches taking place. Large events occasionally require all rooms, making the venue completely unavailable on certain dates. Wedding bookings are only available on Saturday or Sunday.

Staff taxi fees of £250-£300 + VAT apply for events ending after 22:30. Event security costs £42 + VAT per staff member per hour (one per 100 guests). Cloakroom staff cost £25 + VAT per staff member per hour with a 4-hour minimum if manned service is required.

External caterers are generally not permitted. However, for weddings requiring Asian caterers, specific approved Asian caterers may be used with a kitchen buy-out fee of £5,000 + VAT (£6,000 including VAT) in addition to the venue hire fee.

Queen's Room and other spaces do not have built-in AV equipment, so all audio-visual needs must be hired from accredited suppliers. The venue provides a list of approved AV suppliers for production, lighting, and sound equipment.

Clothed poseur tables cost £25 + VAT each. Manned cloakroom service costs £25 + VAT per staff member per hour (4-hour minimum). Early access for setup is available, and the venue provides a list of accredited suppliers for florists, entertainment, and toastmasters.

Standard daytime events run 09:00-17:00, with evening events typically 18:00-23:00. Extensions beyond 17:00 cost £670 per hour plus VAT for daytime events. Extensions beyond 23:00 cost £1,000-£1,200 per hour plus VAT, and staff taxi fees of £250-£300 + VAT apply.

The venue offers 20% off room hire for bookings taking place between August 1st and September 14th. This discount applies to corporate events, conferences, networking events, and similar bookings during this specific period.
