Can I use my own caterer or do I need to use in-house catering?
Middle Temple offers in-house catering, but external caterers are not accepted. If you wish to use an Asian caterer, there is a kitchen buy-out fee of £5,000 + VAT (£6,000 including VAT), and only specific pre-approved Asian caterers are permitted to cater at the venue.
What catering packages are available for weddings?
Wedding catering is priced at £98.00 + VAT per person with a minimum of 20 guests. This includes a 30-minute drinks reception on arrival with wine, beer and soft drinks, three-course meal, half bottle of house wine per person, filtered water, essential catering equipment, glassware, white linen, and full event management and staffing.
Are there any additional costs I should budget for beyond venue hire and catering?
Additional costs may include: cloakroom staff if you require manned service (otherwise self-service), clothed poseur tables for reception at £25 + VAT each, and staff taxi fees at £250 + VAT for events ending after 22:30. AV equipment must be hired from accredited suppliers as rooms don't have built-in systems.
Is audio-visual equipment included or do I need to arrange this separately?
The Queen's Room and other spaces do not have built-in AV equipment, so this must be hired from one of Middle Temple's accredited suppliers if needed. The venue provides a list of approved AV production, lighting, and entertainment suppliers.
