10 Union Street is home to a state of the art digital studio and podcast room which can be hired independently or part of the venue spaces.

The podcast booth holds up to 4 people and can be used for live streaming or recording purposes.

Hire of the space includes equipment and onsite technicians to ensure no worries about technical issues.




Frequently asked questions

Room hire varies significantly by space and event type. Room 201 costs £50-£76 per person for DDR packages with 50-person minimums, while the Main Hall ranges from £1,000-£4,500 plus VAT with minimum catering spends of £1,800-£2,000. Smaller rooms like Room 204 cost £350-£700 plus VAT, and combined rooms 204&205 cost £850-£1,100 plus VAT with £1,500 minimum catering spend.

Capacities vary by room and setup style. Room 201 holds 72 people cabaret style or 100 theatre style, the Main Hall accommodates 280 theatre style or 200 cabaret style, Room 204 seats 20 boardroom style, and combined rooms 204&205 hold 100 theatre style. Room 101 fits 100 theatre style or 72 cabaret style.

Security is mandatory for any events running past 19:00, charged at £25 per hour plus VAT per guard with a minimum 4-hour shift. For smaller groups, one guard is typically required, making the minimum security cost £100 plus VAT for evening events.

A 10% deposit is required in advance via card payment to secure bookings. For some events, 100% prepayment is required based on contracted minimums, with any additions after this point invoiced separately or on the event date.

DDR packages range from £50-£89 plus VAT per person including multiple tea/coffee services and lunch. Individual items include deli sandwich lunch at £20 plus VAT per person, tea/coffee at £4.85-£6.10 plus VAT per serving, and canapés from £22-£62.50 plus VAT per person depending on quantity. Bowl food ranges from £29-£51 plus VAT per person.

One-hour drinks reception with house wine, beer and soft drinks costs £20-£25 plus VAT per person, rising to £28 plus VAT with Prosecco. Cashless or account bars have a minimum spend of £750 plus VAT - if not reached, the remainder is added to your bill. Three-hour drinks packages cost £55 plus VAT per person.

Standard AV includes lectern, lectern microphone, 85" LCD monitor, 2x 85" LCD repeater monitors, mini PC for presentations, and Wi-Fi. The Main Hall includes PA system, 2x LCD projectors, 2x screens, multiple microphones (lectern, roving, lapel, tabletop), infra-red hearing system, and AV technician support.

Weekend events incur an additional £500 plus VAT staff fee on Saturdays. This is charged on top of the standard room hire and catering costs for events taking place on weekends.

Minimum delegate numbers vary by room and package. Room 201 DDR requires minimum 50-60 delegates, Room 101 DDR requires minimum 50-80 delegates, and Main Hall packages require minimum 100 delegates. Some rooms have daily minimum catering spends of £1,000-£2,700 plus VAT instead of delegate minimums.

Evening hire typically runs from 18:00 with access from that time. DDR packages generally cover 8am-5pm or 9am-5pm. Some rooms may have daytime bookings that could affect earlier access, and this information is confirmed closer to the event date.
