Frequently asked questions

Minimum spends vary significantly by day and time. For exclusive hire of Duck & Waffle (40th floor), Saturday evenings require £30k excluding VAT and service, while Sunday evenings drop to £25k. Weekday evenings range from £20k-£26k. All minimums exclude 18% service charge (15% service + 3% event management fee). Bar bookings for up to 40 guests require £4k including VAT excluding 14% service.

Duck & Waffle exclusive hire accommodates 250 guests standing or 120 seated. The bar area handles up to 40 people in a seated/standing mixture with a roped-off semi-private area for 30+ guests. The private dining room seats up to 20 guests with a £500 minimum for breakfast events.

All events incur an 18% service charge (15% service charge plus 3% event management fee) on top of the minimum spend, excluding VAT. Security and furniture removal charges apply for exclusive hire events but specific amounts aren't detailed. For group bookings, full minimum spend is required as a deposit within 24 hours of booking.

Evening events typically run 18:30 to midnight with setup access from 16:30. Bar bookings are available for up to 3 hours from booking time with option to extend. Breakfast events run 08:00-11:00. Late night events can start from 23:00 for bar bookings.

Duck & Waffle cannot host externally promoted ticketed events due to venue licensing restrictions. Any ticketed events must be organized by the venue and comply with their requirements. The venue does not supply Halal meat but can provide vegetarian alternatives.

Private dining bookings can be made online up to 2 months in advance with a 14-day cancellation/postponement policy. Group bookings require full minimum spend as deposit within 24 hours and operate on a 7-day cancellation policy. Dates are only held upon specific request.

All group bookings require pre-ordering of arrival drinks and canapes to ensure prompt service on the day. This applies to both bar bookings and larger events. Menus and beverage options are provided via specific links in booking confirmations.

SAMBAROOM (39th floor) offers a lower-cost alternative with £12k minimum spend on Sundays (£20k Saturdays) for 150 standing guests, plus £2,000 including VAT for furniture removal above 100 guests. This space has shared lift entry and cloakroom, and consists of separate lounge and bar rooms connected by corridor.
