Frequently asked questions

Minimum spends vary significantly by day and time: Saturday evenings require £30k (excluding VAT and service), Sunday evenings £25k, weekday evenings £26k, and July evenings start at £20k minimum. All prices exclude VAT and 18% service charge (15% service charge plus 3% event management fee).

Duck & Waffle exclusive hire accommodates up to 250 guests standing or 120 seated. The bar area handles up to 40 people in a seated/standing mixture with a roped-off semi-private section for groups of 30+.

Evening events typically run 18:30 to midnight with setup access from 16:30. Bar bookings are available for up to 3 hours from booking time with option to extend. Breakfast events run 08:00-11:00.

All events incur 18% service charge (15% service plus 3% event management fee) on top of the minimum spend, plus VAT. Security and furniture removal charges apply for exclusive hire events but specific amounts aren't detailed in current pricing.

Full minimum spend is required as deposit within 24 hours of booking confirmation. Bar bookings operate on a 7-day cancellation policy, while private dining has a 14-day cancellation/postponement policy.

The private dining room (up to 20 guests) requires £500 minimum spend for breakfast including VAT but excluding 14% service charge. Bar bookings for up to 40 people require £4k including VAT excluding 14% service, while semi-private bar areas for 50 people need £2k-£5k including VAT excluding 15% service.

Duck & Waffle cannot host externally promoted ticketed events due to venue licensing restrictions. Any ticketed events must be organized by the venue itself and comply with their specific requirements.

All group bookings require pre-ordering of arrival drinks and canapés to ensure prompt service on the day. This applies to both bar bookings and larger events.

Regular bookings can be made online up to 2 months in advance. Event dates are only held upon specific request and require deposit confirmation within 24 hours.

Duck & Waffle does not supply Halal meat but can provide vegetarian alternatives. Full menus are available for review before booking to ensure dietary requirements can be met.
