Frequently asked questions

The auditorium accommodates up to 70 people in classroom layout. Studio spaces can handle up to 50 guests for screenings with rectangular wooden trestle tables. The venue can accommodate 150-200 people for larger events like dinners, though specific room capacities vary by space and layout requirements.

Team building art activities cost £59.50 per person (excluding VAT) for the basic package. With alcoholic drinks included (beer and white wine), the price increases to £72.50 per person (excluding VAT). Grazing platters with meats and cheeses are available for approximately £15 per person (excluding VAT).

The Art Academy is open Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm for viewings. Tours can be arranged during these hours by appointment with the Development Coordinator.

A 30% holding deposit is required to secure the date and studio space. The remaining balance must be cleared 2 weeks before the event date. The deposit is calculated as 30% of the total event cost.

The venue provides a 5-meter wide screen projector with high-quality speakers suitable for screenings and presentations. Professional-grade lighting and 4K visual display systems are available, along with high-quality audio equipment for multimedia displays and presentations.

External catering and decorators are permitted. However, the venue has approved drinks suppliers or charges corkage fees for outside alcohol. Kitchen use is allowed based on the nature of the event, and food is generally not permitted in studios, though exceptions may be considered.

Multiple spaces are available including studios, auditorium, and project spaces. The painting and drawing studio requires 3m high ceilings and around 8m length. The Project Space is recommended for intimate events, while studio spaces work well for smaller gatherings and the auditorium suits presentations.

Setup times vary by event complexity - simple setups may take 4 hours while dismantling can take up to 2 hours. The venue provides guidance on entrance procedures and directions for guests. Power access is available, and specific room requirements like ceiling height and length can be accommodated in appropriate spaces.

The venue accommodates various event types including screenings, fashion shows, supper clubs, corporate events, and art exhibitions. Single bottles of champagne are permitted for special occasions. Events can include synthetic flowers and decorative elements, with setup requirements discussed on a case-by-case basis.
