What is the venue hire cost and what does it include?

The Shoreditch Loft costs £2,350 + VAT for up to 8 hours of venue hire per day. Extra hours are charged at £160 + VAT per hour. The hire includes free overnight hold, access to the open plan kitchen, roof terrace, mezzanine level, and two bathrooms.

What are the capacity limits for different event setups?

The venue accommodates a maximum of 60 people in theatre style, 45 people cabaret style, or 80 people standing. For dining events, the cabaret style setup of 45 people would be most appropriate for seated meals.

What catering options are available and what are the costs?

Catering ranges from £8.90 + VAT per person for breakfast to £136 + VAT per person for three-course dinners with chef and waiting staff. A 10% service charge is applied to all final catering costs. Canapes and drinks receptions start from £85.29 per person for groups of 25-50 people.

Can we bring our own catering or external caterers?

Yes, you can bring your own catering or external caterers. The venue has an open plan kitchen available for food preparation and reheating. Access to sinks and electrical outlets is provided for catering setup.

What are the time restrictions and noise limitations?

The venue is located in a residential building, so daytime events only are permitted. Very loud music is not allowed due to the residential setting. Evening events that disrupt next-day setup are only possible at full rental costs.

What AV equipment is available and what are the costs?

85-inch screens cost £275 + VAT, microphones cost £90 + VAT, and stage pieces (1m x 2m) cost £125 + VAT. PA systems and other AV equipment are available for additional charges upon request.

What kitchen facilities and dining equipment are provided?

The venue includes an open plan kitchen with access to sinks and electrical outlets. Crockery for dining is available at £4.90 + VAT per person. You can bring your own crockery and equipment if preferred.

Are there any mandatory staff requirements or additional fees?

The venue requires their own staff to be present throughout the event. For catered events with chef and waiting staff, this is included in the catering price. A 10% service charge is automatically applied to all final catering costs.

What is the booking process and payment structure?

The venue offers free overnight hold for events. Specific payment timelines and booking procedures should be confirmed directly with the venue team. Discounts may be available during slower periods like August.

What makes this venue unsuitable for certain events?

The venue is not suitable for large weddings (maximum 50 people), late-night events due to residential building restrictions, or events requiring very loud music. It's designed primarily for daytime corporate events and intimate dining experiences.
