The venue closes from 3pm onwards for event setup, with client access typically from 5pm or 6pm.

What are the catering costs and options available?

Catering starts from £6,400 including VAT and ranges up to £15,105 for larger events. Options include finger food/canapés, bowl food menus, and drinks packages from £12-£20 per person. The venue works with multiple catering partners including Canababes, who offer canapé menus from £8,078 for 75 people and bowl food menus from £8,705 for 75 people.

What is the maximum capacity and are there different spaces available?

The Main Atrium can accommodate up to 250 guests maximum for standing receptions. There's also the Dragons Nest Room available for smaller private events and children's parties. The venue offers flexible space configuration as a blank canvas that can be shaped to your requirements including dance floors and entertainment areas.

What are the AV and technical equipment costs?

AV hire starts from £1,000 including VAT for basic setups and can reach £7,490 for comprehensive packages. Services include DJ equipment, PA systems, microphones, screens/monitors, and staging. The venue has preferred AV partners and an existing stage that can be utilized for presentations or entertainment.

What are the available time slots and booking restrictions?

Events typically run from 5pm-11pm or 6pm-11:30pm, with some flexibility for earlier start times. The museum closes from 3pm onwards for event setup. For children's birthday parties, specific time slots are available at 11am, 1pm, or 2:30pm on weekends. Site visits can be arranged Wednesday to Friday from 10am-4pm or 10am-5pm.

Are there special packages available for children's birthday parties?

Yes, two packages are offered: The Mayfair Chippy Package at £60 per child including museum entry, Zero-Gravity room, exclusive Dragons Nest room use, and food (fish goujons, halloumi fingers, or sausage with chips). The VIP Birthday Package is £52 per child with similar inclusions but different catering. Both packages include tableware and cannot cater to severe nut, fish, and shellfish allergies due to cross-contamination.
