Full venue hire varies significantly by date: £2,000 minimum spend for some dates, £5,000-£7,000 for weekends, £16,000-£25,000 for December dates, all plus 12.5% service charge. December bookings have higher minimums due to peak season demand.
How much deposit is required and when is full payment due?
A 25% deposit of the minimum spend is required to confirm your booking, which must be paid at least two weeks prior to the event. Any preorders must be paid in advance and are due one week before your event date. The remaining balance can be settled on the night and goes towards your minimum spend requirement.
What are the capacity limits and operating hours for each space?
The Courtyard accommodates up to 50 people and is covered with heaters, featuring high tables and standing room. The Lounge seats up to 50 people with sofas, armchairs, and coffee tables. Both spaces operate until 11pm, after which guests can move inside until 2am for full venue hire. For exclusive venue hire, the entire venue including Courtyard is available until 2am, but the Courtyard specifically closes at 11pm.
What are the cancellation and change policies?
Cancellations require at least 4 weeks' notice, and changes require 48 hours' notice. If you cancel after the 4-week deadline or don't show up, the full deposit is retained. The venue holds your reserved area for a maximum of 30 minutes - if you don't arrive or make contact within this time, it's treated as a no-show and the deposit is forfeited.
How much do canapés and drinks cost for events?
Canapé trays with 6 options cost £245 for 10 trays (serving approximately 50 people). Cocktail vouchers are £13 per voucher. A typical breakdown for 50 people includes £245 for canapés and £650 for 50 cocktail vouchers, totaling £895 plus 12.5% service charge. All preorders must be paid in advance and count towards your minimum spend.
What's included with full venue hire and what are the entertainment options?
Full venue hire includes exclusive access to the entire venue and Courtyard, complimentary cloakroom service, and guestlist management. You can play your own music via DJ, playlist, or live act. The venue can arrange additional services like DJ hire (£480 for 6 hours) and photobooth rental (£500 all night with printer). The venue operates until 2am for exclusive hire, though the Courtyard closes at 11pm.
Are there any non-refundable costs or restrictions I should know about?
All deposits and payments are non-refundable but redeemable against your final bill. There are no refunds for unconsumed drinks, lower attendance than predicted, unused drink vouchers, unmet bar tabs, unmet minimum spends, or guests asked to leave for intoxication or antisocial behavior. Certain event types require the full minimum spend to be pre-paid 7 days before the event date.
Can dietary requirements be accommodated and how are they handled?
Yes, dietary requirements can be accommodated including nut-free options (though cross-contamination may occur). Food can be labeled with flags or stickers to identify specific ingredients like seafood or pork. Dietary requirements and any special labeling requests must be provided when placing your preorder one week before the event.
What payment methods are accepted and how does the booking process work?
Payments are processed through DesignMyNight's secure online system via emailed payment links. If online payment links don't work, invoice payment can be arranged with payment due by a specified date (typically within one week). Bookings can be held provisionally while payment links are sorted, and the venue can reopen cancelled bookings to change dates if needed.
What seasonal pricing and booking incentives are available?
December dates have significantly higher minimum spends (£16,000-£25,000) due to peak Christmas party season. Early booking incentives are offered - if you confirm by August 31st, you receive a complimentary fizz reception. Weekend rates are higher than weekday rates, and pricing varies throughout the year based on demand and seasonality.
