Lecture Hall & Council Chamber at Surveyors House

The Lecture Hall accommodates up to 120 guests in theatre layout or up to 80 in cabaret style. The Council Chamber holds up to 80 guests in theatre layout or up to 32 in cabaret style. For cabaret layout in the Lecture Hall, there's conflicting information showing both 80 and 100 guests maximum, with tables of 10.

The Day Delegate Rate is £89 plus VAT per person with a minimum of 80 guests for the Lecture Hall, or £49 plus VAT per person with a minimum of 20 guests for the Council Chamber. It includes room hire, arrival refreshments (JING tea, Searcys coffee, pastries), morning refreshments, finger food buffet lunch, afternoon refreshments, AV equipment (built-in screen, projector, speakers), manned cloakroom, and flavoured water station.

The Council Chamber has a room hire fee of £1,000 plus VAT for a full day (09:00-17:00). Room 1847 (private dining space) costs £750 plus VAT with a minimum food and beverage spend of £2,500 plus VAT and 12.5% service charge. The Dubai Meeting Room is £667 plus VAT per day for Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm.

Surveyors House is closed on Saturdays and Sundays. Events typically run during weekday hours, with some evening events available until 23:00. Day events generally operate from 08:00/09:00 to 17:00, while evening events can run from 18:00/19:00 to 23:00.

Booking holds are typically offered until specific dates (examples show holds for 3-4 weeks ahead). The venue requires a contract and deposit invoice to secure events. A 12.5% discretionary service charge applies to food and beverage orders.

Built-in equipment includes dropdown screen, projector, speakers, stage with lectern, lectern microphone, and 2 hand-held or lapel microphones. AV assistance is provided upon arrival and on calls. The venue can accommodate video conferencing and has registration desk facilities in the Council Chamber.

Hot fork buffet lunch upgrade costs £10-£20 plus VAT per person depending on the package. Drinks packages include 1 hour unlimited drinks at £20 plus VAT per person, with extensions available. Reception packages start at £115 plus VAT per person including arrival drink, canapés, and 3-hour unlimited drinks.

Festive dining packages cost £144-£200 plus VAT per person with minimum numbers of 60-75 guests. Includes Prosecco on arrival, three-course festive dinner, half bottle of house wine per person, Christmas decorations, cloakroom service, and venue hire from 18:00 to 23:00. DJ and dancefloor can be included in higher-tier packages.

The venue cannot accommodate events requiring more than 120 guests in theatre style in their largest space (Lecture Hall). Events requiring significantly more capacity will be declined, as confirmed when a 130+ guest event was turned away.

Room 1847 is a private events space above Searcys Bar & Brasserie accommodating up to 60 guests with a private bar. The Lecture Hall and Council Chamber can be hired together for larger events up to 80-120 guests depending on layout. The Dubai Meeting Room accommodates up to 14 boardroom style with additional standing space.
