Frequently asked questions

The Conference & Events package is £445 per hour, which includes the Upper Room (200 theatre capacity), standard AV equipment with 1 technician, and 2 staff members to facilitate your event. There's also a mandatory £150 post-event cleaning charge that applies to all bookings.

King's House is only available for hire Thursday through Saturday. The venue is not available for bookings on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday.

Standard AV includes a 150" projector screen, two 65" wall-mounted TVs, bespoke lighting, full PA system, and HD live streaming capabilities for hybrid events. A dedicated technician is included in the hire rate to operate all equipment throughout your event.

King's House is a completely nut-free venue, so all catering must be nut-free without exception. The venue operates on a dry-hire basis, meaning you must arrange your own external catering or use their recommended caterers. Unlimited tea and coffee service is available for £2 per person.

The Arts space can accommodate up to 200 people in theatre-style seating in the Upper Room. The total space is 1,700 square feet and includes access to a kitchen area for catering preparation and service.

All setup and breakdown time must be included in your quoted hours. The standard requirement is 60 minutes for setup and 30 minutes for breakdown, though you can reduce setup to a minimum of 30 minutes and breakdown to 15 minutes if you can manage within those timeframes.

Full payment is typically due by the standard deadline, or you can arrange a split payment schedule (for example, a deposit followed by the balance plus refundable security surcharge). A refundable security surcharge applies to all bookings, and any overtime beyond your booked hours will be deducted from this surcharge.

You need to provide all presentation slides, logos, and AV files by midday the day before your event via WeTransfer to their specified email address. The venue can display your logo on screens and requires specific technical details about microphone needs and any special AV requirements in advance.

Yes, King's House is a fully accessible building. The space includes chairs and tables free of charge, kitchen access for catering preparation, and the venue combines historic 19th-century architecture with modern facilities and equipment.

King's House is a beautiful former billiard hall in the heart of King's Cross. Our newly-refurbished first-floor events space contains a 200-seat flexible auditorium, with kitchen, full PA/AV, and is fully equipped for HD live streaming and hybrid events.

The ground floor of the building provides a cafe space and a home for community activities and charities aid people in the local area. Each booking made with King's House directly supports these organisations.
