All bookings must include setup and pack down time - minimum 30 minutes setup and 15-30 minutes pack down, with a £150 post-event cleaning charge applying to all bookings.

What days is King's House available for hire?

King's House is only available for hire Thursday through Saturday. The venue is not available for bookings on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday.

What is the maximum capacity for the Arts space and what seating arrangements are available?

The Upper Room has a maximum capacity of 200 people in theatre-style seating. The space is a flexible auditorium with chairs and tables provided free of charge, allowing for various configurations depending on your event needs.

Standard AV package includes projector screen, 2 wall-mounted 65" TVs, full PA system, bespoke lighting, and hybrid AV capabilities for live streaming. A dedicated technician is included with every booking to operate equipment and provide technical support throughout your event.

King's House is a completely nut-free venue, so all catering must be nut-free. The venue operates on a dry-hire basis with kitchen access available, and they can arrange catering through recommended suppliers or you can bring your own nut-free catering.

What are the payment terms and when are invoices due?

Full payment is typically due by the standard deadline (usually 2-3 weeks before the event). However, payment plans can be arranged - for example, a deposit this week followed by the remaining balance plus refundable security surcharge 2 weeks later.

Unlimited teas and coffees service is available at £2 per person. The venue can arrange catering through recommended suppliers, and there's a refundable security surcharge that applies to all bookings (amount varies by event).

What are the requirements for submitting event materials and technical specifications?

All AV files, logos, and presentation materials must be submitted by midday the day before your event via WeTransfer to the specified email address. You'll also need to complete a detailed schedule and hire handbook with specific timing requirements and technical needs for the technician.
