Frequently asked questions

The Conference & Events package costs £445 per hour and includes the Upper Room (200 theatre capacity), standard AV with 1 technician, and 2 staff members. All bookings must include setup and pack down time - minimum 30 minutes setup and 15-30 minutes pack down, with standard being 60 minutes setup and 30 minutes pack down.

King's House is only available for hire Thursday through Saturday. The venue is not available for bookings on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday.

You must budget for a £150 post-event cleaning charge and a refundable security surcharge. Unlimited tea and coffee service is available for £2 per person if required.

The Upper Room has a maximum capacity of 200 people in theatre style seating. The space is described as a flexible auditorium, and chairs and tables are provided free of charge.

Standard AV includes a dedicated technician, projector screen, and 2 wall-mounted 65" TVs. The venue offers a 150" projector as an alternative to the TVs, and can display logos on screens in the cafe area.

King's House operates as dry-hire only but has recommended caterers available. They can provide unlimited tea and coffee service for £2 per person, and you have kitchen access for external catering arrangements.

King's House is a completely nut-free venue, so all catering must comply with this requirement. External caterers must be informed of this restriction before the event.

Full payment is typically due by a standard deadline, but payment plans can be arranged with extra time (e.g., partial payment initially, then remainder plus security surcharge by a later date). Invoices can be issued for the full amount immediately or split across multiple payments.

You must complete a detailed schedule by midday the day before your event, including specific AV requirements and technician needs. Any presentation slides, logos, or AV files must be sent via WeTransfer to the venue's designated email address.

Yes, deliveries can be arranged to arrive before your event. Items can be delivered the day before your event date, and the venue will accept and store them for you.

King's House is a beautiful former billiard hall in the heart of King's Cross. Our newly-refurbished first-floor events space contains a 200-seat flexible auditorium, with kitchen, full PA/AV, and is fully equipped for HD live streaming and hybrid events.

The ground floor of the building provides a cafe space and a home for community activities and charities aid people in the local area. Each booking made with King's House directly supports these organisations.
