What are the dry hire rates for the Business space and what's included?
Dry hire packages start from £10,000.00 inclusive of VAT. The venue has offered reduced rates of £14,000.00 inclusive of VAT for some events. Room hire includes meeting room hire, pads and pencils, free comprehensive Wi-Fi throughout the site, and chilled conference mineral water inside the room.
What are the Day Delegate Rate packages and pricing?
Day Delegate Rates range from £55.00 to £87.00 per person inclusive of VAT (reduced from standard rates of £129.00-£189.00). The package includes room hire 09:00-17:00, air-conditioned room with daylight, superfast Wi-Fi, water, pastries and smoothies on arrival, yogurt and granola pots, energizing lunch, free-flowing tea and coffee, flipchart, and 3000 lumen LCD projector and screen (8"x6").
What are the mandatory security requirements and costs?
Security is compulsory for all events at £29.40 per hour inclusive of VAT. Requirements are based on guest numbers: 1-200 guests require 2 guards, 201-400 guests require 4 guards, 401-600 guests require 6 guards. There's a minimum 4-hour booking and minimum of 2 security guards, which must be paid no later than 1 month prior to the event.
What are the restrictions for ticketed events?
For ticketed events, all tickets must be pre-purchased and the venue does not allow tickets to be sold on the night. This policy applies to all ticketed events regardless of size or type.
What catering options are available and at what cost?
Additional catering includes unlimited tea, coffee and refreshments at £11.50 per person inclusive of VAT, energizing lunch at £20.95 per person, sandwich lunch at £12.95 per person, bacon or egg bap at £4.95 per person, and Danish pastries at £4.00 per person. All catering prices are inclusive of VAT where applicable.
What AV equipment is included and what are upgrade costs?
Standard package includes a 3000 lumen LCD projector and screen (8"x6") and one flipchart. LCD projector and screen upgrades start from £195.00 inclusive of VAT. Bigger screen upgrades are recommended and available at additional charges, though specific pricing requires a quote from their AV supplier.
What are the Christmas and banquet package options?
Christmas packages are £112.00 per person inclusive of VAT (reduced from £190.00). This includes 3-course meal, exclusive room hire 18:00-01:00, glass of sparkling wine on arrival, three-course seated dinner, tea/coffee and mince pies, half bottle of wine per person, Christmas novelties and traditional room decoration, plus DJ and dance floor until 1am.
How long are provisional bookings held and what's the confirmation process?
The venue holds provisional bookings on "joint 1st option" but will release bookings if no updates are received. They require confirmation decisions by specific deadlines (such as 1pm on a Thursday for Friday events) and will release bookings automatically if confirmation is not received by the stated time and date.
What room capacities are available for different setups?
Room capacities vary by space and setup: Dorset Suite accommodates up to 60 delegates in classroom style, Cambridge Suite up to 24 delegates in boardroom style, Cornwall Suite up to 200 cabaret style or 250 theatre style, and various other suites ranging from 45-105 delegates in theatre style. All rooms have natural daylight and disabled access.
What are the venue's VAT policies?
Room hire is VAT exempt, while Day Delegate Rates and food & beverage are inclusive of VAT where applicable. The venue clearly states VAT status on all quotes, with some items being VAT exempt and others including 20% VAT.
