Frequently asked questions

Room hire varies by space: Charles Suite is complimentary with £1,800 minimum catering spend, Conservatory costs £1,500 with £1,500 minimum catering spend, Library costs £500 with £1,000 minimum catering spend, and Royal Suite costs £950 with £8,000 minimum catering spend. All rates include VAT and a discretionary 15% service charge is added to the final invoice.

The Charles Suite accommodates up to 50 guests on 10 round tables or 30 guests on one oval table. The Conservatory seats up to 40 for lunch on round tables or 30 on one oval table. The Royal Suite can accommodate up to 50 guests in U-shape layout. The Library accommodates up to 30 guests for standing receptions.

A 55-inch plasma screen with HDMI connection costs £100 per day. Microphones (handheld and/or lapel) cost £50 each or £30 for the Conservatory. PA systems are included complimentary with most packages. More sophisticated AV equipment requiring technical support must be hired from external suppliers at additional cost.

Day Delegate Rates range from £65-£105 per person depending on the package and room. They typically include exclusive room hire, up to 3 refreshment breaks, buffet lunch, jugs of iced filtered water, delegate stationery, WiFi, and basic AV equipment. Breakfast packages start from £29 per person and can be added to any package.

All quotes are valid for 5 working days only. The venue does not hold space during the quotation process - availability remains subject to change until a booking is confirmed. If there's no response to enquiries, they are typically released within 5-7 working days.

Buffet lunch is included in Day Delegate Rates, with 2-course seated lunch available for £10 extra per person. Three-course private dining costs £95 per person. Tea, coffee and petits fours cost £7 per person. Refreshment breaks start from £5 per delegate and can be charged on consumption basis.

Classic Double Rooms are available from £390-£420 per room per night including VAT and complimentary full English breakfast, based on single occupancy. Rates require a minimum of 10 rooms per night and are subject to change if numbers or length of stay alter. Guests must email the group reservations team mentioning the event name to book.

Afternoon tea service ends at 5pm. Events typically run from 8:30am-5pm for conferences. Rehearsal rooms can be hired separately (Library costs £600 for afternoon use). Setup time and technical run-throughs can be arranged from 6am on event day for an additional fee.

Podiums typically cost around £1,000 including VAT and must be sourced from external suppliers. Logitech MeetUp equipment for Teams calls costs £300, though more sophisticated video conferencing with technical support requires external suppliers. The venue can coordinate these external hires but costs are additional.

A discretionary 15% service charge is automatically added to all final invoices. All quoted rates are inclusive of VAT at the current standard rate. Payment timelines and deposit requirements are detailed in individual proposals, with quotes requiring response within 5 working days to maintain validity.
