Our Entrance Hall is the perfect welcoming space for your delegates. With a built in cloakroom, integrated AV system and large spaces for catering, it is a great space for flexible event delivery. The Entrance Hall also benefits from a side room which can be used for workshops or separate cloakroom or catering area. Often hired with the London Ellipse Hall, the Entrance Hall is a perfect compliment to your main meeting space.



Frequently asked questions

The Terrace Boardroom costs £580 plus VAT for 9am-5pm (maximum 12 guests boardroom style). The Terrace Gallery costs £1,800 plus VAT for 9am-5pm (up to 100 delegates theatre style). The London Ellipse Hall and Entrance Hall together cost £7,500 plus VAT for 9am-5pm (up to 300 guests). The Weston Theatre with Entrance Hall costs £7,600 plus VAT for 9am-5pm (200 capacity).

Catering is provided through approved suppliers including Seasoned Events and Bovingdons. A continental breakfast package with tea/coffee breaks costs £40 plus VAT per person (minimum 12 guests). Christmas party packages start from £107 plus VAT per person at Docklands and £131 plus VAT per person at London Wall. Summer party packages start from £106 plus VAT per person.

Standard room hire includes projector, screen, PA system, and Wi-Fi access. The London Ellipse Hall includes LED ellipse, plasma screen, AV technician, PA system, stage and lectern. Additional handheld microphones cost £50 plus VAT each, and hybrid meeting options start from £350 plus VAT. Additional screens for better visibility cost £250 each.

The London Ellipse Hall accommodates up to 250 guests cabaret style with good stage visibility, or up to 300 guests with some restricted views behind pillars. The Terrace Gallery holds up to 100 delegates theatre style or 90 for dinner. The Garden Room accommodates 45 people cabaret or 80 theatre style. The Weston Theatre seats 200 conference style.

Standard daytime events run 9am-5pm, with evening events typically 6:30pm-11pm. The Terrace Gallery evening hire (6:30pm-11pm) costs £2,700 plus VAT. Some spaces may have restrictions based on other bookings, and clients need early access from around 6am for events requiring extensive setup.

All catering must be provided through approved suppliers - external catering is not permitted. The venue requires dedicated staff for smooth event operations, which is included in catering packages. AV technician support is included with the London Ellipse Hall hire but may be additional for other spaces.

Bookings require confirmation through the venue hire team at venuehire@londonmuseum.org.uk. Dates can be held temporarily while quotes are being considered, but specific hold periods are not detailed. All pricing is quoted plus VAT, and full proposals include room hire, AV requirements, and catering coordination with approved suppliers.

The former museum galleries are now closed to the public, so events have exclusive access to hired spaces. The London Ellipse Hall features a 360-degree digital ellipse that can display custom content or effects. All revenue from events supports preserving London's historical artifacts and funding educational programs.

The venue team actively manages availability and may offer alternative dates if the preferred date is unavailable. For example, if the main spaces are booked, they may suggest the Terrace Rooms for smaller events or provide second-choice dates. The team can also recommend alternative venues if London Museum Spaces cannot accommodate the requirements.
