Frequently asked questions

The hire fee varies by duration - for example, an 8am-5pm hire costs £9,350 + VAT (£11,220 including VAT). This includes an event manager, duty manager, technician for in-house equipment, basic fire marshalling staff, workers bar and back of house spaces, and power. Additional staffing, technical support, and catering incur separate charges.

Vehicle access is only permitted on site between 8am-11pm daily. If you need additional time for setup or de-rig outside these hours, you must arrange this in advance and may need to book additional time the day before or after your event.

There's a £500 + VAT admin fee to set up your own caterer or AV supplier on the venue's system. Additionally, the venue charges 10% commission on the final invoice from any external suppliers you bring in.

Woolwich Works has five handpicked caterers: Clement Worrall, KERB, Palette, Social Pantry, and The Clink Events. They also offer a simple internal catering menu. You can use your own caterer, but this incurs a £500 + VAT setup fee plus 10% commission on the final bill.

A PA system and 2 microphones are included in the hire fee. Additional technical resources beyond this basic setup incur extra charges. An additional technician costs £310 + VAT per day, and for requirements beyond in-house capabilities, they recommend external AV company White Light.

In-house furniture is included with the hire, subject to availability. You can view available furniture on their website. Additional furniture not available on-site, such as large round cabaret tables, requires separate hire at additional cost.

Security/host staff are available at £35 per hour for 2 staff members, with a minimum 5-hour call per staff member (10 hours total minimum). This is in addition to the basic fire marshalling staff included in the hire fee.

Availability depends on the event size, lead time, and specific dates requested. The venue may not have capacity for large events with short lead times. Popular dates like late November may have limited availability, so booking well in advance is recommended.

The venue states that everywhere in the building is accessible. They have disabled parking available on request. The venue is designed to accommodate guests with mobility requirements including wheelchair access.

Events typically run during daytime hours with setup beginning from 8am. The venue can accommodate various timing requirements, but vehicle access restrictions (8am-11pm) may affect your setup and breakdown schedule. Extended access outside these hours requires advance arrangement.
