Green Dragon and Magpie are a combination room located in Meeting Place, on Level 5 with views over Bishopsgate Plaza.

Boasting floor to ceiling windows, the rooms are flooded with daylight and have 4k LED screens, webcam facilities and complimentary WiFi for all guests.

Perfect for all types of business event from meetings, seminars, training and board meetings and dinners up to 50 people. Magpie is used for catering or pre-dinner drinks with the main event taking place in Green Dragon.




Frequently asked questions

Newton private dining room charges £500-£950 room hire per day (discounted to £700 for multi-day bookings) with capacity for up to 12 people. Ginger Lily Bar requires a minimum food and beverage spend of £3,000-£4,500 depending on guest count and timing, with no separate room hire fee. All rates include VAT but exclude 12.5% service charge.

Newton accommodates maximum 12 people in boardroom style. Green Dragon and Magpie combined can host up to 50 guests in banquet layout for dinners or meetings. Ginger Lily Bar has maximum capacity of 150 for exclusive hire events. The Pacific Ballroom accommodates up to 400 people for larger conferences.

Full payment is required upfront with a signed event agreement to guarantee your booking. Cancellations within 30 days incur charges equivalent to the minimum spend or room rental fee. Cancellations more than 30 days in advance receive full refunds. Additional charges must be settled by the primary host on the day of the event.

If guest numbers reduce within 7 business working days of your event, the hotel reserves the right to apply charges for food and beverage costs based on the original requirements. Pre-orders must be placed no later than 7 business working days before the event date, or the culinary team will design a personalised menu for you.

Newton includes a 65-inch AV screen with video conferencing capability and WiFi. Green Dragon and Magpie feature integrated 4k LED screens, webcam facilities, and background music. All spaces include complimentary WiFi access. Additional AV equipment like TV screens can be added for £325.

Day delegate rates start from £160-£195 per person including arrival breakfast, mid-morning refreshments, working buffet lunch, afternoon refreshments, stationery, and room hire from 08:00-17:00. Individual catering options include morning/afternoon coffee breaks at £9.50 per person, 2-course menus at £70 per person, and 3-course menus at £80-£98 per person.

Standard business event access is typically 09:00-17:00 for day meetings, with flexibility available upon request. Evening events in Ginger Lily Bar can run from 18:30-23:30 or 19:00-23:00. Early access from 07:00 or 08:00 can be arranged for setup requirements.

All quoted rates include VAT but exclude 12.5% service charge which is mandatory. Security officers are compulsory for certain events at £27 per hour with minimum requirements varying by event type. The minimum spend on food and beverages cannot be combined with other services at the hotel.

The venue frequently experiences high demand and may be fully booked on requested dates. Last-minute bookings (next day) cannot be accommodated due to time constraints. It's advisable to book well in advance, and the venue will hold provisional dates while you make decisions.

Included services vary by space but typically feature complimentary name cards, customised menus, WiFi, cloakroom facilities, blotters, note pads, pens, and still/sparkling mineral water.
