The Grand Temple is a stunning, Grade II listed Art Deco building.

The largest of our our spaces, the Grand Temple has fixed seating for up to 928 on the ground level and a further 450 seats in the balconies.

Built-in stage and audio can facilitate Conferences /Award ceremony events and product launches. For larger scale production, there are 28 ceiling rigging points for audio/visual equipment.

There are multiple smaller rooms adjoining the Grand Temple available to use for refreshments, break-out areas or meetings.




Frequently asked questions

The Grand Temple costs £20,000 + VAT per day from 7am to 11pm. This includes security and cleaning for the live event, but does not include late license extensions which cost £750 per hour until 2am. Rig/de-rig days are available at 50% discount on venue hire.

The Grand Temple accommodates 900 theatre-style with catering, 280 cabaret, 600 reception, or 450 seated dinner. The space has fixed ornate seating for 1,350 people, but by installing a temporary floor over the seats, you can significantly increase both seated and standing capacities.

There is no AV equipment included in The Grand Temple - everything must be brought in by external suppliers. The venue has 28 ceiling rigging points for audio/visual equipment and can support weight up to 28 tonnes. The venue provides a list of recommended AV suppliers who are familiar with the space.

Due to venue licensing terms, concerts are not permitted at 60 Great Queen Street. Musical theatre productions with live music are acceptable, but pure concert performances are prohibited. All events must comply with the venue's licensing requirements.

The venue works exclusively with Moving Venue as their catering partner. They provide all food and beverage services from welcome drinks and canapés to three-course seated dinners and drinks packages. Clients cannot bring in external caterers - all catering must go through Moving Venue.

The Vestibules are connected to The Grand Temple and can be hired exclusively or in combination. The Vestibules work perfectly as a drinks reception area before guests enter The Grand Temple for the main event. Additional breakout rooms and storage spaces are available upon request.

Standard access is from 07:00 to 23:00, with late license available until 2am for an additional £750 per hour. Rig/de-rig days are available at 50% discount on the venue hire rate. The venue recommends arranging setup the day before major events to ensure adequate preparation time.

No, 60 Great Queen Street does not have box office facilities. If you are selling tickets to your event, you must arrange your own ticketing system and box office services independently. The venue cannot assist with ticket sales or collection.

The venue can accommodate a maximum of 1,300 guests for standing events throughout multiple rooms. For events requiring more than 1,000-1,500 people with large stage requirements, the venue cannot accommodate these numbers and will recommend alternative venues.

Guests enter through the iconic Bronze Tower Doors into the Grade II listed cloakroom to check bags and coats. They then ascend the sweeping marble staircase and enter The Vestibules, which serves as the perfect drinks reception area before the main event doors open to The Grand Temple, creating a dramatic 'wow factor' moment.
