Frequently asked questions

Maxwell operates on a minimum spend basis rather than room hire fees. For dinner events, the minimum spend is £1,300 (inclusive of VAT, excluding 12.5% service charge) for up to 12 guests. A 3-course menu is available at £98 per person, with beverages charged upon consumption.

Maxwell can accommodate up to 50 guests seated for private dining events. However, the minimum spend pricing structure shown in proposals suggests optimal capacity is around 12 guests, with larger groups requiring adjusted pricing.

Full payment is required in advance along with a signed agreement to confirm your booking. If you cancel within 30 days of the event date, you'll be charged the full minimum spend or room rental fee. Cancellations more than 30 days in advance receive a full refund.

If guest numbers reduce within 7 business working days of your event, the hotel reserves the right to charge for food and beverage costs based on the original requirements. Pre-orders must be placed no later than 7 business working days before the event, or the culinary team will create a personalised menu for you.

All Maxwell bookings include complimentary name cards, customised menus, WiFi access, and cloakroom service. The space features a stunning Champagne wall and overlooks Bishopsgate Plaza with natural light.

A 12.5% service charge applies to all food and beverage costs (VAT is already included in quoted prices). Any additional charges incurred during your event must be settled by the main host on the day, unless agreed otherwise with your event planner.
