Frequently asked questions

Minimum spend varies by space and date: Rooftop Bar £9,000-£18,000, The Onyx Room £6,000-£15,000, and Penelope's Restaurant £10,000-£16,000, all plus 12.5% service charge with 20% VAT included. These amounts must be spent on food and beverages, and prices are only valid for 5 working days from quote date.

The Rooftop Bar accommodates up to 120-150 for standing reception only. The Onyx Room holds up to 150 for standing reception or 40 for seated dinner over 2 long tables. Penelope's Restaurant seats up to 130 for dinner or 180 for standing reception. Penelope's Private Meeting Room accommodates maximum 16 guests boardroom style only.

Events typically run 5pm-12am with last bar orders 11:15-11:30pm, and spaces must be cleared by 12am due to licensing. Organisers can access from earlier for setup. Some events may run until 1am with last orders 12:15-12:30am, but this varies by space and date.

All quotes are only valid for 5 working days and subject to availability. Dates are only held upon specific request, not automatically. Site visits are available Monday-Friday 11am-5pm, and some Saturday availability 3pm-7pm for restaurant bookings.

For groups of 25+ at Penelope's Restaurant, a 25% deposit is required based on guest count and chosen set menu (e.g., 25% of 30 x £70 set menus). For private events, full payment of minimum spend is required upfront as deposit, which is then discounted from the final bill.

Expect 12.5% service charge on all food and beverage, plus 20% VAT (already included in quoted minimums). Entertainment is charged separately - DJs cost £400-£500 for 4-hour sessions. External equipment hire like poseur tables incurs additional charges. A 10% commission applies to final NET + VAT (excluding service charge, cancellations, entertainment, or external hire).

The Onyx Room includes projector, 55" screen, AV equipment, A/C, Wi-Fi, and microphone for speeches. Penelope's Private Meeting Room includes 55" screen, AV equipment, A/C, Wi-Fi, flipchart, and stationery. Microphones for speeches are provided free of charge across venues.

Loose furniture can be removed to create space for dance floors. The Onyx Room offers casual seating around the room with low round tables available, but no poseur tables (these must be hired externally). Setup access is typically available from 3pm, with earlier access possible for organisers and crew.

No food/drink packages are offered - venues operate on minimum spend basis only where you order individual items. For groups 25+ at Penelope's, set menu options start at £70 per person. All venues offer Spanish-Middle Eastern fusion cuisine with sharing concept. Dietary requirements can be accommodated with advance notice.

Summer 2025 season (May-September) experiences high demand with constantly changing availability. Rooftop Bar is not available Wednesday 25th June, all Thursdays in June, and Thursday 3rd July 2025. Kitchen only opens from 5pm for some dates, with earlier service requiring minimum £6,000 spend plus 15% service charge.

Venues collaborate with DJs charging £500 for 4-hour performances (7-11pm). External entertainment is charged based on artist fees. All spaces must be cleared by licensing times (typically 12am, some until 1am). No specific noise restrictions mentioned, but licensing requirements must be observed.

Quotes are subject to changes based on modifications of dates, increase in numbers, times, or other specifications. The venue experiences high demand and cannot inform about availability changes unless a tour is booked. All pricing is subject to availability and may change if event details are modified.
