Frequently asked questions

Coopers Studio costs £1,050 + VAT for an 8:00-17:00 hire period. This includes an Event Manager, Duty Manager, Technician for in-house equipment, and basic staffing for fire marshalling. The space has a capacity of 60 people and features exposed brick walls, mirrors, oak ballet barres, a PA system with 2 microphones, plywood studio flooring, and an upright piano.

Vehicle access is only permitted on site between 8am-11pm. If you need additional time for setup or breakdown the day before or after your event, you must arrange this in advance with the venue. Standard hire periods run 8:00-17:00, so extended access would need to be discussed separately.

You can use your own caterer, but there's a £500 + VAT admin fee to set them up on the venue's system. Additionally, the venue charges 10% commission on the caterer's final invoice. Alternatively, Woolwich Works has five approved caterers (Clement Worrall, KERB, Palette, Social Pantry, and The Clink Events) or a simple internal catering menu available.

The hire includes a PA system with 2 microphones. Additional technical resources beyond this basic setup incur extra fees. For more complex AV requirements that exceed in-house capabilities, the venue recommends their external AV partner White Light. An additional in-house technician costs £310 + VAT per day if needed beyond the included technician.

In-house furniture is included with the hire, subject to availability. You can view available furniture options on their website. The space features mirrors and oak ballet barres as permanent fixtures, plus a plywood studio floor and upright piano. Additional or specific furniture requirements would need to be arranged separately.

Booking lead times vary significantly based on event size and requirements. The venue has indicated that events with larger capacity needs or shorter lead times may not be accommodated, particularly for dates like November 29th which appear to have limited availability. It's recommended to book well in advance, especially for popular dates.

Coopers Studio can accommodate up to 60 people. This capacity limit is firm, and events requiring larger numbers would need to consider other spaces within Woolwich Works or alternative venues entirely.

The space functions as both a standalone venue for intimate events like parties and drinks receptions, and as a support space for larger events in other areas of Woolwich Works. The internal window overlooks the Fireworks Factory space, making it suitable as a control room or production office. Specific restrictions on activities aren't detailed, but the space features a plywood studio floor and ballet equipment.

Specific payment terms and booking procedures aren't detailed in the available information. The venue appears to assess availability based on dates, guest numbers, and lead time requirements. Initial inquiries should include your preferred dates, expected guest count, and event requirements for proper availability assessment.

While the standard hire period is 8:00-17:00, the venue may accommodate different timing requirements. However, vehicle access restrictions (8am-11pm) would still apply. Extended hours or alternative timing would need to be discussed directly with the venue and may incur additional costs.
