A newly-refurbished building designed by award-winning studio Haworth Tompkins, King's House is a unique blank canvas with complete flexibility and can offer in-person, hybrid of live-streamed events.

The building is ideal for Product Launches, Networking evenings, Drinks Receptions, Showcases, Conferences, Team Away Days, Team Meetings and more.

The PA/AV systems across King's House are top of the range and will meet the needs of any of our clients.

Additionally, every hire of King's House will financially support the charities within the building during the week.




Frequently asked questions

The Conference & Events package costs £445 per hour and includes the Upper Room (200 theatre capacity), standard AV equipment with 1 technician, and 2 staff members to facilitate the event. All bookings must include setup and pack down time - minimum 30 minutes setup and 15-30 minutes pack down, with standard being 60 minutes setup and 30 minutes pack down.

King's House is only available for hire Thursday through Saturday. The venue is not available for bookings on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday.

You must budget for a £150 post-event cleaning charge and a refundable security surcharge (amount not specified in communications). Unlimited tea and coffee service is available for £2 per person if required.

The Upper Room has a maximum capacity of 200 people in theatre-style seating. The space is described as a flexible auditorium that can accommodate various layouts including cabaret style for smaller groups.

Standard AV includes one technician, and the venue has two 65-inch wall-mounted TVs plus a 150-inch projector option. The venue is fully equipped for HD live streaming and hybrid events with top-range PA/AV systems, and can display logos on screens for branding.

Yes, King's House is a completely nut-free venue. All external caterers must be informed of this requirement and ensure their food is nut-free compliant.

Full payment is typically due by the standard deadline (appears to be around 2 weeks before the event). However, payment can be split with a deposit due immediately and the balance plus refundable security surcharge due approximately 2 weeks later.

Slides, logos, and other AV files must be provided by midday the day before your event. Files should be sent via WeTransfer to kings.house.b3hv7r.c.e@reply.hirespace.com, and a detailed event schedule must be completed in advance.

King's House operates as dry-hire only, meaning you must arrange external catering. They have recommended caterers available and can facilitate quotes from multiple providers including FunThyme, Bart's Table, Arch, and Fat Macy's.

You will have 2 staff members to facilitate your event and 1 AV technician included in the Conference & Events package. If the venue manager is unavailable, other team members like Hannah and Hattie will be assigned to look after your event.

King's House is a beautiful former billiard hall in the heart of King's Cross. Our newly-refurbished first-floor events space contains a 200-seat flexible auditorium, with kitchen, full PA/AV, and is fully equipped for HD live streaming and hybrid events.

The ground floor of the building provides a cafe space and a home for community activities and charities aid people in the local area. Each booking made with King's House directly supports these organisations.
