What is the hourly rate for the Business space and what does it include?

The Conference & Events package costs £445 per hour and includes the Upper Room (200 theatre capacity maximum), standard AV equipment with one technician, and 2 staff members to facilitate your event. A £150 post-event cleaning charge applies to all bookings.

What are the minimum booking requirements and setup time restrictions?

All quotes must include setup and pack down time in your total hours. The standard requirement is 60 minutes for setup and 30 minutes for pack down, though you can reduce setup to a minimum of 30 minutes. Any overtime beyond your booked hours will result in security surcharge fees.

Which days is King's House available for hire?

King's House is only available for hire Thursday through Saturday. The venue is not available for bookings on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday.

What AV equipment is included and what are the display options?

Standard AV includes one technician, PA system, and display options. You can choose between a 150-inch projector or two wall-mounted 65-inch TVs on either side of the room. The venue recommends the TVs for their crisp, clean image quality over the projector.

What are the catering options and costs?

King's House operates as dry-hire with recommended external caterers available. Unlimited tea and coffee service is available for £2 per person. The venue can arrange quotes from multiple caterers including Bart's Table, Arch, Funthyme, and Fat Macy's for buffet-style meals.

What are the payment terms and deposit requirements?

Full payment is typically due by the standard deadline, or you can arrange a split payment schedule (for example, a partial payment initially, then the remainder plus refundable security surcharge by a later date). A refundable security surcharge applies to all bookings.

What restrictions apply to food and external deliveries?

King's House is a completely nut-free venue, so all catering must be nut-free. External deliveries can be arranged (items can arrive the day before your event), and you can bring your own catering if preferred over the recommended caterers.

What technical support is available for presentations and AV needs?

One AV technician is included in the standard package. You need to provide presentation files, logos, and any slides via WeTransfer to the venue email by midday the day before your event. The venue can display logos on screens and has full PA capabilities for sound.

What is the maximum capacity and seating arrangements available?

The Upper Room has a maximum capacity of 200 people in theatre-style seating. The space offers complete flexibility for different seating arrangements and can accommodate various event formats from presentations to conferences.

Are there any additional services or charges to be aware of?

Beyond the hourly rate and cleaning charge, you'll need to factor in the refundable security surcharge, potential overtime fees if you exceed your booked hours, and catering costs. The venue can also arrange logo displays on screens and provides full support staff during your event.
