Stationers' Hall and Garden

Christmas packages start at £138 per person excluding VAT (£165.60 including VAT). This includes a traditional three-course festive dinner with coffee and mince pies, welcome drinks, half bottle of house wine per person, hire of Main Hall, Court Room and Stock Room from 18:00-23:30, and cash bar facilities. Traditional Christmas decorations including trees are provided.

The venue can accommodate up to 200 guests for seated awards ceremonies or wedding ceremonies and receptions. For standing receptions, the maximum capacity is 330 guests. The Main Hall can seat up to 200 for formal dinners and ceremonies.

Exclusive dry hire is £5,000 plus VAT with hire times typically from 10:00 to 18:00. For Saturday wedding ceremonies only, the rate is £2,000 plus VAT for 11:00-13:00. There is a minimum requirement of 100 guests for Thursday events.

Summer packages start at £120 per person. Based on correspondence, this pricing would result in £18,000 for 150 guests, which was noted as exceeding some clients' budgets, indicating this is the minimum rate structure for summer events.

The Court Room overlooks the Garden with direct access via a decorative wrought iron staircase, featuring Rococo ornamentation and an 18th century carved mantelpiece - ideal for ceremonies. The Main Hall features gleaming oak flooring, carved oak paneling from the 1600s, and huge stained-glass windows, accommodating up to 200 guests for receptions.

Events typically run with setup access a few hours before start time. Wedding ceremonies run 11:00-13:00 or can be part of full day hire 10:00-18:00. Christmas events typically run 18:00-23:30. Clients need several hours before events for setup, and the venue can transform spaces between ceremony and reception.

For dry hire events, clients must provide their preferred caterer for the venue to review their credentials and approve. The venue does not automatically include catering in dry hire packages, and all external caterers must be vetted by the venue before approval.

The venue books up quickly, particularly for popular dates. Multiple enquiries show dates being unavailable within short timeframes, with alternative dates often suggested. December dates for Christmas events and summer dates appear to have the highest demand and book earliest.
