What are the room hire costs and what's included in the base price?

Room hire costs vary by space, with the Stanley Stephenson Lounge priced at £1,200 + VAT for the day (capacity up to 200 people). The base room hire includes exclusive use for 6-8 hours (all events must end at 12am), bespoke room setup, dedicated Event Manager on the day, security/hospitality/bar staff, cleaning, complimentary WiFi and onsite parking, plus early access for setup subject to availability.

Can I bring my own catering or external food and drinks?

No, external catering is strictly prohibited at Selhurst Park Stadium. All food and beverage must be provided by their in-house catering team, who offer various menus with different cuisine options and price points. They can accommodate dietary requirements if given advance notice, but no outside food or drink is permitted under any circumstances.

What are the accessibility limitations I should know about?

The Stanley Stephenson Lounge is located on the 2nd floor with no lifts or step-free entrances available. This makes the space inaccessible for elderly guests or people with mobility issues, wheelchairs, or other accessibility needs. If accessibility is required, this venue would not be suitable for your event.

Are there restrictions on when I can hold my event?

Yes, several timing restrictions apply. The venue is closed on December 23rd and cannot host events that date. Additionally, availability depends on Crystal Palace FC's fixture schedule - if there's a home match on your requested date, private events cannot be held. Premier League fixtures are typically released in June, so availability for the following season cannot be confirmed until then.

What are the DJ and entertainment requirements and costs?

You can hire your own external DJ, but they must provide public liability insurance and PAT testing documentation 7 days prior to the event. Alternatively, you can book their in-house DJ through KT Entertainments (pricing varies). All external entertainment equipment must be PAT tested and suppliers must have public liability insurance.

What decoration rules and restrictions apply?

Basic linen and table numbers are included in the room hire fee. For additional decorations, you can hire external decorators, but they must provide PAT testing and public liability documentation for any electrical equipment. Importantly, no decorations can be tacked or attached to the walls, so all decorating must be freestanding or table-based.

How long can my event run and what are the bar service options?

All events must end by 12am (midnight) regardless of start time. Each space has a fully staffed bar within the room, operated by the events team. You can choose between a cash bar where guests pay individually, or arrange for the host to cover bar costs. Buffets are limited to 2 hours of service, and leftover food cannot be taken home due to food safety policies.

What audio-visual equipment is included and what are the requirements for presentations?

Each room has LCD mounted TV screens for displaying slideshows or graphics free of charge, plus complimentary AV requirements for corporate events. For presentations, artwork must be sent 2 business days prior in PowerPoint or .mov format. LCD projectors and screens are available for corporate day delegate rates, and you should advise in advance if slideshows contain audio elements.

The venue offers some flexibility on pricing depending on your budget - they've shown willingness to reduce package prices from £75+VAT to £55+VAT per person for student groups, indicating negotiation is possible for certain circumstances.

What Christmas and festive packages are available?

Three festive packages are offered: 'Dress to Impress' Joiner Party (£65+VAT pp, fixed date Dec 13th, shared event), Festive Fizz & Bowl Food Private Party (£70+VAT pp, exclusive lounge use, sparkling reception and bowl food), and 'A Crystal Christmas' Private Party (£75+VAT pp, exclusive lounge use, three-course meal, half bottle wine pp). All include 6pm-midnight access, DJ entertainment, festive decorations, and complimentary parking.
