The Rooftop Bar accommodates up to 150 guests for standing reception (120 maximum on some dates), The Onyx Room holds up to 150 for standing reception or 40 for seated dinner, and Penelope's Restaurant can host 130 for seated dining or 180 for standing reception. All spaces are private hire only for events.
What are the standard event timings and licensing restrictions?
Events typically run from 5pm-6pm guest arrival until 12am with last bar orders at 11:15-11:30pm, and spaces must be cleared by 12am due to licensing. Organizers can access spaces earlier for setup, and some events may extend to 1am on specific dates.
How far in advance must food and beverages be pre-ordered?
Food and beverage selections must be pre-ordered by 5pm the day before your event. For last-minute enquiries, this deadline may be extended but confirmation is required well in advance of your event date.
What entertainment and AV equipment is included versus additional costs?
Basic AV equipment including 55" screens, projectors, microphones, A/C, and Wi-Fi are included in most spaces. DJs cost £500 for 4-hour performances, and all other entertainment and decoration are charged additionally based on artist fees.
What are the booking and payment terms?
Quotes are valid for only 5 working days and subject to availability changes. For restaurant bookings, a 25% deposit is required based on guest count and chosen menu, with remaining balance due closer to the event date. Dates are only held upon specific request.
Are there any date restrictions or blackout periods?
The Rooftop Bar is not available on Wednesday 25th June, all Thursdays in June, and Thursday 3rd July 2025. High demand exists for Summer 2025 season (May-September) with constantly changing availability, and you won't be informed of changes unless a tour is booked.
What commission fees apply to bookings made through hire space platforms?
A 10% commission is charged on the final NET amount plus VAT, excluding service charge. This commission does not apply to cancellations, entertainment, decoration, or any external hire costs.
Can furniture be removed or rearranged for events?
Loose furniture can be removed from spaces to create more room for activities like dance floors. The venue offers flexibility with room layouts and can discuss potential setup options during site visits.
What are the site visit availability and booking procedures?
Site visits are available Monday-Friday 11am-5pm, with some staff available Tuesday-Friday 11am-6pm and Saturdays 3pm-7pm. Upon arrival, ask for Mapi or Joanna at reception, and tours must be arranged in advance as dates are only held upon request.
