Security is mandatory at £25 + VAT per person per hour (1 person required for setup/de-rig, 2 persons when live), plus a cleaning fee of £150 + VAT.

The Stables has a total capacity of approximately 300-315 guests standing before production across 4,500 sq ft over two floors plus a private courtyard. The lower gallery holds up to 100 guests before production. The venue features two frontages on Earlham Street and Shelton Street with excellent street visibility and dual entrances.

The Stables has a strict 10pm cut-off time due to lease restrictions, with no loud activities or receptions permitted past 21:00 (9pm) due to estate restrictions. No loud music is allowed at all after 21:00, and the volume must not disturb neighboring residents and businesses. Late license applications are not possible.

The venue includes Sonos speakers ideal for background music and spot lighting throughout with gallery finish. For events requiring DJs or presentations, you'll need to bring in a separate PA system. The venue operates as a dry hire space, so all tables, seating, and additional AV equipment must be arranged separately through recommended suppliers.

The Stables features direct vehicle access to a private courtyard for easy loading, with delivery access for setup and breakdown. No, the venue cannot be hired by individual floors as they are unable to host two events simultaneously on different floors. The entire venue must be hired exclusively, though limiting events to the ground floor only can reduce security requirements by one operative when live.
