What are the minimum spend requirements for different areas of The Rooftop?
The Rooftop has several areas with different minimum spends: Full Rooftop hire starts from £25,000-£30,000 including VAT, Deck area from £14,000 including VAT, Gallery area from £12,000-£16,000 including VAT, and The Room from £3,000 including VAT. All minimum spends are on food and beverage services, plus a mandatory 13% discretionary service charge.
What are the capacity limits for each area of The Rooftop?
The Full Rooftop can accommodate up to 180 attendees in a reception layout, the Deck area up to 100 attendees, the Gallery area up to 60 attendees, and The Room up to 25 attendees. All capacities are for standing reception format.
What are the operating hours and music restrictions for events?
Events can run from 15:00 to 24:00, with music allowed to play until 24:00. All areas are equipped with retractable canopies for adverse weather conditions and heaters for comfort.
Are there specific day-of-week restrictions for bookings?
Yes, on Wednesdays and Thursdays, only full exclusive hires of The Rooftop are available. Other days offer both private and semi-private area options.
How far in advance can events be booked?
The venue cannot provide quotes for bookings beyond January 2025 currently. For groups of 60 guests or less, quotes are only provided a maximum of 30 days prior to the event date.
What is the booking process for smaller groups under 25 guests?
For bookings of fewer than 25 guests that do not require a private space, you must contact the Rooftop team directly at their dedicated email 30 days prior to your event, or the events team can forward your inquiry to them.
What food and beverage options are available and how do they count toward minimum spend?
Options include canapés from £14.00-£21.00 per person (choose 3), Bowl and Buns from £27.00-£38.00 per person (choose 3), and sweet selections from £12.00 per person. All food, beverages, and bar service count toward the minimum spend requirement.
What happens if the minimum spend is not met?
If the agreed minimum spend is not met, the remaining amount will be charged as room hire. This ensures you pay the minimum regardless of actual consumption.
What AV and entertainment facilities are available?
The venue allows both DJs and live bands, with music permitted until 24:00. There is potential access to digital screens for presentations or demos, and the space can accommodate background music suitable for conversation.
Are there any restrictions on event sales strategy for future dates?
The venue's event sales strategy for periods starting from October 1st, 2025 onwards is currently under review, and they cannot provide proposals for dates beyond this period until summer when further guidance will be available.
