Frequently asked questions

Screen 1 (119 seats) costs £1,284 + VAT per slot Monday-Tuesday, £1,835 + VAT per slot Wednesday-Sunday. For full day hires (7am-5pm), pricing is £2,380 + VAT Monday-Tuesday and £3,400 + VAT Wednesday-Friday. Weekend evening slots are based on fitting four shows: 12pm-3pm, 3pm-6pm, 6pm-9pm, or 8:30pm-11:30pm - if you need multiple slots, costs are multiplied accordingly.

The hire includes use of screen and projector, up to 3 handheld microphones, technical support, and a 30-minute to 1-hour technical rehearsal at 10:30am prior to your event. Content must be delivered in DCP format 72 hours before the technical rehearsal. If you have another format, conversion costs £500 + VAT, with additional fees for late delivery or missed rehearsals.

Exclusive bar hire costs £300 + VAT per hour for up to 125 people standing. This covers exclusive use of the ground floor bar space but does not include any food or drinks. There are no minimum spend requirements and no service charges added to your bill.

Standard drinks service includes self-service house wine, prosecco, beers and soft drinks (budget £6 per person per drink). Specialty drinks like cocktails and G&Ts require pre-ordering. In-house catering covers tea/coffee, breakfast items, pizzas and light bites - external caterers handle everything else. All orders must be placed 2 weeks ahead to ensure staffing and stock, with no guarantees for later orders.

Yes, laptops can connect to the screen for presentations. Both PC and Apple laptops work if they have HDMI adaptors. The venue recommends consolidating all content onto one laptop to avoid transitions between multiple devices during your event.

Weekend evening slots are 6pm-9pm or 8:30pm-11:30pm. Full day conferences typically run 9am-5pm with organiser access from 7am-8am for setup. Events can finish as late as 11:48pm with 5-10 minutes needed for room clearing. Your on-site contact will go over the running sheet when you arrive.

The venue has 4 wireless microphones total on site. For single-screen events, you can use up to 3 handheld microphones. The microphones cannot be easily moved between screens during events, so if using multiple spaces simultaneously, you're limited to 2 microphones per screen maximum.

A branding package is available that includes use of the canopy or readograph, plus takeover of all quad posters and digital screens throughout the venue. This allows you to promote your event and brand the space for maximum impact during your hire period.

Until you have a countersigned contract back from the venue, the booking is not confirmed. The venue uses running sheets to arrange event logistics - anything not detailed on the running sheet cannot be guaranteed, so all requirements must be specified and approved in advance.

Screen 1 only offers theatre-style seating with 119 reclining seats, each with side tables. Cabaret-style table arrangements are not available. The venue cannot accommodate different seating configurations - it's designed specifically for cinema-style presentation viewing with fixed reclining seats.
