Contracts must be signed promptly to secure dates, with some requiring signature within specific timeframes (such as by Friday 1st August for certain bookings). The venue operates on a first-come-first-served basis, and dates remain available to other clients until contracted.
What are the capacities for the main event spaces available for parties and receptions?
The Nash Room accommodates 350 standing or 184 cabaret style. The Carlton Room holds 300 standing, 120 seated for dinner with reception space, or 180 seated dinner only. The Waterloo Room accommodates 140 standing, and spaces can be hired together for larger events up to 1,000 guests.
What catering requirements and restrictions apply to events?
All catering must be provided by Searcys - external catering is strictly forbidden. Set menus are required with one dish choice per course for the whole party, and dietary requirements are catered separately. Table plans and name places must be provided on the event day for smooth operations.
What Christmas party packages are available and what do they include?
Christmas packages range from £148-£186 + VAT per person (minimum 120 guests). Packages typically include champagne on arrival, three-course dinner or canapés/bowl foods, three hours unlimited house drinks, DJ and dancefloor, security and cloakroom, and traditional Christmas theming with decorations.
What AV equipment and technical services are available for events?
AV services are available as add-ons with separate quotes provided. Equipment includes screens, projectors, microphones (handheld, lapel, and roaming), and staging. Technical support and setup are included, with specifications tailored to each event's requirements.
How does the provisional booking and deadline system work?
The venue operates provisional holds for dates, and can deadline other clients within 48 hours if you want to secure a date that's provisionally held by someone else. Dates are not held without confirmation, and bookings can be closed if no response is received after multiple follow-ups.
