Stonecutters Studio is the largest of our four studios. Perfect for using as a rehearsal space, it has been booked recently by orchestras, choirs, opera companies and contemporary dance groups.

The room is separated from the adjacent space, Ropekeepers Studio, by a movable acoustic partition wall, making the combined space 35 meters long.

Combined, the two studios can accommodate up to 140 standing and 100 seated theatre style. The space includes a PA system suitable for playback, an upright acoustic piano, floor-to-ceiling mirrors, oak ballet barres and large windows.




Frequently asked questions

Coopers Studio costs £1,050 + VAT for 08:00-17:00 hire. This includes an Event Manager, Duty Manager, Technician for in-house equipment, and basic staffing for fire marshalling. The space can accommodate 60 people and includes a PA system with 2 microphones.

Vehicle access is only permitted on site between 8am-11pm. If you need additional time for setup or de-rig the day before or after your event, you must arrange this in advance with the venue.

You can use your own caterer, but there's a £500 + VAT admin fee to set them up on the venue's system. Additionally, the venue charges 10% commission on the caterer's final invoice.

Woolwich Works partners with five handpicked caterers: Clement Worrall, KERB, Palette, Social Pantry, and The Clink Events. They also offer a simple internal catering menu that may meet basic requirements.

A PA system with 2 microphones is included in the hire fee. Additional technical resources beyond this basic setup will incur extra charges. For requirements beyond their in-house capabilities, they recommend their external AV partner White Light.

In-house furniture is included with the hire, subject to availability. You can view available furniture options on their website to see what's available for your event setup.

Coopers Studio accommodates 60 people. When combined with the adjacent Ropekeepers Studio (separated by a movable acoustic partition), the space can hold up to 140 standing or 100 seated theatre style, creating a 35-meter long combined space.

Basic fire marshalling staff is included in the hire fee. However, additional staffing beyond this will incur extra charges. Security/hosts are available at £35 per hour for 2 staff with a minimum 5-hour call per staff member (10 hours minimum total).

The venue may not have availability for events with short lead times, particularly for larger events. Availability varies significantly by date, and some dates may be completely unavailable regardless of space requirements or event size.
