The View is open to the general public for conferences, meetings and events. Located on the top floor of the historic Royal College of Surgeons, it boasts spectacular views of London and has a terrace guests can enjoy on summer evenings.

The sixth floor space features the Conference Suite and Park View rooms, as well as two breakout spaces. Complete with built-in AV and plenty of natural light, the space has the capacity to hold up to 300 guests in theatre style or standing reception, or 120 in cabaret.




Frequently asked questions

Room hire for The View starts from £5,000+VAT for a 9am-5pm booking, with minimum catering spends ranging from £5,500-£7,000+VAT depending on the event. Day delegate rates are available from £89+VAT per person with minimum numbers typically 100-150 guests. Evening events require separate room hire fees plus minimum catering spends.

The Conference Suite accommodates up to 300 guests in theatre style, 120 in cabaret, or 150 for private dining round tables (220 on sprigs). The Park View can hold 300 guests for standing receptions. The space can be partitioned to create two smaller areas of 150 guests each in theatre style.

Inclusive AV includes projector and screen (accessible via Clickshare), repeat screens, up to four wireless microphones, lectern, and PA system. An in-house 6m x 3m stage is available for hire at additional cost. All rooms use Clickshare facilities for wireless content sharing.

The deposit is 80% of the total cost, with the remaining 20% due 6 weeks prior to the event when planning takes place. This payment structure applies to all bookings at The View.

The View includes two main spaces: The Conference Suite (main presentation room) and The Park View (separate catering/networking area with terrace access). Two breakout rooms are also included: The Linder Boardroom and The Newman Suite, each accommodating 50 guests in theatre style. The Park View offers terrace access with views across Lincoln's Inn Fields and the London skyline.

Standard day delegate packages run from 9am-5pm, with organizer access typically from 8am. Evening events can extend until 10pm or 11pm. Extended hours and weekend bookings are available with different pricing structures - Saturday rates are typically lower than weekday rates.

Day delegate packages include arrival refreshments, mid-morning breaks, lunch (sandwich/finger food or hot fork buffet), and afternoon refreshments. Evening packages offer drinks receptions with canapés. All catering must be provided by the venue - external catering is not permitted.

Nothing can be stuck to walls in the event spaces - free-standing displays and banners are permitted instead. The venue can provide flipcharts at £25+VAT each. Exhibition stands and partner displays can be accommodated in the networking areas with sufficient space planning.

The minimum ballpark figure typically starts from £10,000-£12,000+VAT for The View, though this can be flexible for certain bookings like Friday events. This covers room hire and minimum catering requirements combined.

The venue can place spaces on hold while clients make decisions, though specific hold periods aren't detailed. Very short notice bookings (same week) are generally not possible due to planning requirements. Booking confirmations and planning discussions occur 6 weeks before events.
