Frequently asked questions

The Green Room costs £130 per person with a minimum of 30 guests, including room hire, setup, meeting time, and experiences. The Ballroom dinner package is £180 per person with a minimum of 250 guests, requiring an additional £8,000 room hire for smaller groups. 8 at The Londoner has £3,000 room hire plus £16,000 minimum food and beverage spend. All rates are inclusive of VAT and exclusive of 12.5-15% discretionary service charge.

Security is mandatory for all events at The Londoner at £35 per hour per guard with a minimum 6-hour booking. One security guard is required per 100 attendees, plus one guard required for full setup and de-rig periods. The number of guards may increase depending on the nature of the event.

8 at The Londoner and Shima Garden accommodate maximum 150 standing guests. The Ballroom can host up to 850 guests and is one of the largest event spaces in central London. The Green Room and Gallery spaces accommodate smaller groups with specific minimums varying by package.

Events typically run with setup from 7:00am-11:00am, event time 11:00am-5:00pm, and de-rig 5:00pm-5:30pm for day events. Evening events like at 8 at The Londoner run 5pm-1am. Early access from 6:30am is available for an additional charge of £5,000, and evening prior setup from 6pm costs £25,000.

The Ballroom includes state-of-the-art Christie projectors, four large screens, motorised trusses with moving lights, line array sound system, wireless microphones, stage with lectern, and AMX control panel. Basic AV is complimentary when hiring technicians, starting from £4,200. Gallery rooms include 98" 4K LED screens, Apple TV, wireless presenting, and Bluetooth connectivity. External AV provider fees start at £3,600.

Minimum spends vary by space: £16,000 for 8 at The Londoner, £200 for Gallery rooms plus £1,800 venue hire, and per-person minimums for packages. Any shortfall in minimum food and beverage spend is charged as additional room hire. All minimums are inclusive of VAT but exclusive of service charges.

The venue offers seasonal Japanese menus at 8 at The Londoner, three-course seasonal menus in the Ballroom, and various experience packages including arrival experiences and afternoon experiences. Halal catering options are available, and alcohol-free events can be accommodated with mocktails on arrival. Canapés range from £5-£50 per person excluding VAT.

Spaces are offered on "first option" or "joint first option" with specific hold periods. The venue requires confirmation to block spaces and has dedicated Events Managers assigned to each booking. Payment terms include the base package cost plus mandatory service charges, security fees, and any additional AV or setup requirements.

External AV providers incur a £3,600 fee. The venue accommodates DJs, live bands, and entertainment but specific noise policies and restrictions may apply depending on the space and timing. Clients can bring their own entertainment but should confirm any restrictions during the booking process.

Beyond base packages, budget for mandatory 12.5-15% service charges, security at £35/hour per guard (minimum 6 hours), AV technician support from £4,200 if using in-house equipment, and potential early access fees (£5,000) or evening setup fees (£25,000). External AV provider fees add £3,600 if not using in-house services.
