Breathtakingly vast, pillar-less room with soaring heights of 5.8m (19ft) and an expansive floor space to host receptions for up to 800 people, 700 seated of 336 cabaret. Set in the heart of The Londoner, the world's first Super Boutique Hotel, located in London's Legendary Leicester Square.

Logistically engineered, purposefully built to host unique events, the Ballroom at The Londoner is adjoined by specially designed pre-function areas and two kitchens, providing a seamless experience accompanied by exquisite dining.

Frequently asked questions

The Ballroom Dinner Package costs £180 per person (minimum 250 guests) with an additional £8,000 room hire for smaller groups, exclusive of 12.5% service charge. The Green Room costs £130 per person (minimum 30 guests) inclusive of VAT, exclusive of 12.5% service charge. 8 at The Londoner requires £3,000 room hire plus £16,000 minimum food and beverage spend, inclusive of VAT, exclusive of 15% service charge.

Security is mandatory for all events at The Londoner at £35 per hour per guard, with a minimum 6-hour booking. One security guard is required per 100 guests, plus one additional guard for the full setup and de-rig periods. For a 250-person event, expect minimum security costs of £420 (2 guards × 6 hours × £35).

The Ballroom includes state-of-the-art Christie projectors with four large ceiling screens, eight motorised trusses with fifty moving lights, line array sound system with wireless microphones (4 lapel, 2 handheld), stage with lectern microphone, and AMX touch panel control. Basic AV facilities are complimentary when hiring AV technicians, starting from £4,200 to manage the included equipment.

The Ballroom accommodates up to 850 reception guests, 700 seated, or 336 cabaret style. 8 at The Londoner and Shima Garden has a maximum standing capacity of 150 people. The Green Room is suitable for meetings and smaller events with flexible capacity based on layout requirements.

Events typically run with setup from 18:00-19:00, guest arrival from 19:30, and de-rig from 01:00-02:00am. The Green Room allows setup from 7:00-11:00am, meetings 11:00am-5:00pm, and de-rig 5:00-5:30pm. 8 at The Londoner operates from 5pm-1am with specific timing restrictions.

External AV providers incur a £3,600 fee (£3,000 ex-VAT). Any extension beyond quoted timings may require pricing review. Evening prior setup access is available from 6pm-8pm for an additional £25,000 (£20,833 ex-VAT), and early morning access from 6:30am costs £5,000 (£4,167 ex-VAT).

The Ballroom Dinner Package includes champagne arrival, 3 canapés, three-course seasonal menu, tea/coffee with petit fours, half bottle house wine and water per person. Canapés range £5-£50 ex-VAT per item. Conference packages with three experiences cost £163 per person. All rates exclude service charges (12.5% or 15% depending on space).

Ballroom packages include private entrance, private cloakroom, Wi-Fi access, and dedicated events manager. The Gallery spaces are included with conference packages for 300-350 guests. Somerset House and National Gallery rooms require £200 minimum F&B spend plus £1,800 venue hire. Room configurations and included spaces vary by package type.

Service charges vary by space: 12.5% discretionary for Ballroom and Green Room events, 15% discretionary for 8 at The Londoner. All minimum spends and room hire rates are quoted inclusive of VAT unless specifically stated as ex-VAT. Any shortfall in minimum spend commitments will be charged as additional room hire.

The venue accommodates DJ and live entertainment with full AV capabilities in the Ballroom. 8 at The Londoner operates as a Japanese restaurant and bar with specific menu restrictions to seasonal Japanese cuisine. External entertainment providers are permitted, and the venue provides dance floor capabilities and late licensing until 1am in certain spaces.
