Low lighting and a speakeasy feel with exposed brickwork and plants galore, with booth seating and the option for additional tables and chairs. The space boasts a full cocktail bar, draught beer, music, space for DJ, WIFI and a projector screen.

The 5CC Cocktail Bar requires a minimum spend of £3,500 including VAT (excluding 12.5% service charge) for larger events, £1,000 plus 12.5% service charge for smaller bookings, and £600 plus 12.5% service charge for the semi-private Perch area (60 standing capacity). The full venue hire has minimum spends of £18,000 on Thursdays, £15,000 on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, all plus 12.5% service charge.

The 5CC Cocktail Bar accommodates up to 130 guests for standing drinks with booth seating and standing areas. The Perch semi-private space holds 60 standing guests with booth seating. Full venue hire can accommodate up to 250 standing guests across two floors.

A 50% deposit is required to secure bookings for larger events (£1,000 deposit mentioned for £3,500 minimum spend events). For smaller bookings, deposits range from £500-£1,000 depending on the event size. The deposit counts towards your final bill or can be refunded the next working day if you meet your minimum spend.

All food and drink pre-orders must be submitted at least 7 days prior to your event, along with any allergies or dietary requirements. The venue offers canapes, sharing platters (meat £130, fish £110, vegetarian £45), and various drink packages, with menus subject to seasonal changes.

The venue provides a projector screen (HDMI/VGA compatible device required), multiple TVs upstairs, PA system with microphone capability, and the ability to play your own music or hire a DJ. Entertainment options including DJ, live band, drag artist, and magician are available at additional cost (POA).

No hire fees are charged for use of the spaces. You only pay the minimum spend commitment across food and drinks, plus the mandatory 12.5% service charge on all purchases.

Deposits are payable via online payment link with paid invoice provided. The venue uses DesignMyNight's secure booking system for payments. Final payment is taken on the night, with any remaining balance after your deposit applied to your final bill.

Drink vouchers are only available for private hires, not semi-private bookings. For other events, you can set up a bar tab once you arrive at the venue to manage guest drinks.

Events typically run from 6:00pm to 8:30pm for smaller gatherings, with some extending to 11:00pm. You should arrive early to coordinate with staff, and the venue recommends providing your direct contact details to ensure smooth coordination on the day.

The Wren Tavern is located at 42 Brendon Street, London W1H 5HE, near Mansion House tube station, close to Bank and Cannon Street stations. Upon arrival, mention your booking name to staff to be directed to your reserved space.
