The Rooftop has four distinct areas with varying minimum spends: The Room (up to 25 guests) starts from £3,000, Gallery (up to 60 guests) ranges from £12,000-£16,000, Deck (up to 100 guests) starts from £14,000, and Full Rooftop Hire (up to 180 guests) ranges from £25,000-£30,000. All prices include VAT and are subject to a 13% discretionary service charge.
What are the capacity limits for each area and what layout options are available?
The Room accommodates up to 25 guests, Gallery up to 60 guests, Deck up to 100 guests, and Full Rooftop up to 180 guests, all in reception/standing layout. Events are designed for standing receptions with some seating available, featuring high tables and chairs rather than formal seated arrangements.
What are the operating hours and music restrictions for events?
Events can run from 15:00 to 24:00 (midnight), with music permitted until 24:00. Setup is complimentary from 16:00, and teardown is complimentary until 00:00 the following day.
Are there specific day-of-week restrictions for bookings?
On Wednesdays and Thursdays, only full exclusive hires of The Rooftop are available - partial area bookings are not offered on these days. All other days allow bookings of individual areas.
How far in advance can events be booked and are there any booking limitations?
The venue cannot provide quotes for bookings beyond January 2025, and their event sales strategy from October 2025 onwards is under review. For groups of 60 guests or fewer, quotes are only provided maximum 30 days prior to the event date.
What food and beverage options are included in the minimum spend?
The minimum spend covers all food and beverage services including canapés from £14-£21 per person, bowl food from £27-£38 per person, and sweet selections from £12 per person. If the agreed minimum spend is not met, the remaining amount is charged as room hire.
What weather protection and seasonal facilities are available?
All Rooftop areas feature retractable canopies for adverse weather conditions and outdoor heaters for year-round use. The space is designed as a year-round experience with blanket selections available during cooler months.
What technical equipment and entertainment options are supported?
The venue allows both DJs and live bands, with full AV systems available. There are screens or monitors available for displaying videos and visuals, plus microphone and stage/riser options for presentations or entertainment.
How does the booking process work for smaller groups versus private hire?
For groups under 25 people not requiring private space, contact The Rooftop team directly at 30 days prior to your event. For private hire and larger groups, contact the Events Team who handle bookings and provide detailed proposals with setup schedules and pricing breakdowns.
What are the payment terms and additional charges beyond the minimum spend?
All minimum spends are inclusive of VAT with a mandatory 13% discretionary service charge added to the final food and beverage bill. Additional services like DJs (£750), premium menu upgrades, and any shortfall in minimum spend are charged separately.
